    Up until the new kindle paperwhite came out at 6.8” it was the standard kindle screen size, which has sold well enough. I find the screen size good enough.

    It reads very much like a paperback so the size is just about right and fits nicely in a back pocket, which can't be said for an iPad. You can also change font sizes to suit your vision or if you forget your reading glasses (as I often do). I have a feeling the new 6.8 and 7" (signature) editions are the same physical size with slightly smaller bezels.
