I saw this. Then i did a little test of how much ram i was using for gaming with web browsers open. Couldn't get anywhere near 16gb (approx 12). Decided i didn't need it. Saved myself $315.

Unless you're doing content creation, don't buy 32gb.

Or if you are playing FS2020.

I hit 16gb while gaming with a few chrome tabs open on second screen. With 32Gb as cheap as it is now.. Don't go 16Gb. Not for your primary rig.

    • This is bdie, mostly for manual overclocking to low latencies. You'd get a much cheaper 16 or 32gb Rev.E / CJR kit for regular use.

    • Bahahaha I have 64Gb of Ram. My current Chrome is using 23Gb of Ram… Sooooo Looks like I could go over your allotted amount of ram..
Now see how silly you sound..

      • Why do you need 23gb of chrome while gaming?

I'm a monster for not closing tabs and i don't have that issue.

I'm not sure it's me that sounds silly my friend.

  • amazing. was sad i missed out on the umart deal. i’d been waiting months for the 2x16GB 3600/cl16 crucial ballistix rgb sticks to come back in stock. doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anymore. apparently samsung b die is slightly better than micron e die anyway.

How does 3600mhz CL16 compare to CL18? Is it worth the price difference?

A CL18 is usually around ~$220 from looking around

    • Gaming? No noticeable difference on average, but CL16 sometimes provides a better 1% low performance.

      • What about office work? Mostly excel (massive excel files), virtual desktops, web browser.

        • Don't need to worry about that difference. Save the money and get a better CPU or more RAM like 64GB would better off

  • Goddamn OOS.
