On paper and taking it's specs at face value (always questionable practice) it sounds so-so.

If its using delta-V peak termination method for 4 batteries at once (or even 3) it will really struggle to detect peak as the charge rate is under 0.3C (for most batteries).

I can't find any 3rd party reviews (sorry - 'clients' on your website doesn't count IMHO) on it but looks a reasonable deal on paper - especially with free shipping.

That said you're making a mockery of yourself and any other claims by stating its a 'Super Fast' charger……500mA charge for 4 AA's is its max? 4hrs charge for most people.

I'd still get the Sanyo I've recommended a few times - superior on all main criteria IMHO.

    • What's the Sanyo charger?

      • The ONLY decent charger Sanyo make. There's a reason the seller has sold over 300 of them!

PS. That said I just noticed that when loaded with 4 x AA's it only charges at 560mA. :-/ So is pretty much on par with the claims of the Vapex charger - which makes the Vapex a better deal - if what it claims is correct.

Happy to admit when I'm wrong. :-) I'll give this Vapex a positive on this basis.

PPS. The Sanyo's my backup/travel charger I use a Maha C9000 as main one. But thats much more pricey and overkill for 95% of folks.

not exactly trustworthy but that's as independent as you can find from google.

The exact model is Vapex VTE 2000. I think for $20 it's quite a bargain, if you are after a cheap charger.
