DELAYEDDISPATCHOVERHAUL

Hey Oz Bargain Community,

I know this is a long read, but there's a few important changes to the norm which are worth noting before placing your next order with us. If you're flat chat then the keys bits to read are "2) This is the big update, our delayed dispatch system has had an overhaul…page and email too." and "We're offering you a 40% discount…so it's important to reserve your delayed dispatch spot" :)

I finally made tracked down a few of those all elusive 25 hours in the day to make some more progress on my famous to do list, woohoo! This deal is to celebrate a couple of Lime Blue improvements:

1) Special instructions for seller/Order notes are now included in your order confirmation emails
2) This is the big update, our delayed dispatch system has had an overhaul. You'll notice now there is a calendar which you can click on at the cart page (see Oz B uploaded screenshot https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/361387/94363/new_delay…) where you can select a delayed dispatch date from the available dates in green writing. Once you get to the cart page, to place a delayed dispatch order please simply write "delayed dispatch" (otherwise you'll send me on a trip to Typing Town haha) in the "special instructions for seller" box and select an available date in green on the calendar. You'll be able to see your reserved delayed dispatch date in your order confirmation page and email too.

Due to the fantastic feedback received we've decide to continue the following two initiatives we recently been trialing:

1) Our Tim Tam™ initiative (the purpose is explained on our site) AKA we'll send you a free Tim Tam™ with your order :)

2) An independent delivery system for certain orders. This system means your fresh coffee is guaranteed to be delivered safely (delivery with extra care) within a week (usually 24-48 business hours) of you receiving your delivery tracking link. At this point in time you cannot request this service, as it's still in testing mode. At present getting this service just comes down to luck mixed with a number of factors such as your location, when you order, how many other people order from your general area… Please note if your order is designated to this service the tracking link will say "untrackable." However, once you get this link your delivery will happen within a week (more likely 24-48 hours as mentioned), there'll likely be a tracking message next to "order ref" and you'll receive a tracking update once delivery has been completed.

Here's the deal highlights:

We're offering you a 40% discount (only $25.19 per kg, usually $41.98 per kg, see link below) off our current incredible featured rotating Single Origin Coffee from São Paulo Brazil for any delayed dispatch request orders until 2/3/2022, plus you'll get a free Tim Tam™ Please note this discount is only available for delayed dispatch orders. If you do not reserve a delayed dispatch spot, then your fresh coffee will be dispatched on our next available Friday delayed dispatch date, which means it could go out on 11/3/22 or 18/3/22 or … delayed dispatch priority will be given to those who reserve their spot, so it's important to reserve your delayed dispatch spot :)

Don't worry if you need the good stuff dispatched sooner than our current next available delayed dispatch date 11/3/22, our next deal is just around the corner. Please note our next deal will be the opposite of this one, as all orders for our next deal will be dispatched on an exclusive ASAP rolling basis AKA delayed dispatch unavailable, also the deal won't be for our Brazil São Paulo Single Origin AKA this is the last opportunity to get a deal on this SO before our next featured SO is introduced :)

Here's a recap of my thoughts on our recently launched featured rotating Single Origin coffee from São Paulo Brazil, I believe it's the best suited Single Origin for milk based coffee (hot and iced) we've ever featured. It's like a perfect tango the milk and coffee are independent but when they come together as a team they put on quite a show! That said it's still delicious as a black coffee

Some helpful info:

  • Glad to see this delay dispatch deal as my current one might finish around 18/03/2022.

would like to confirm my understanding.

If I pick the date of 11/03/2022,I should be able to receive the coffee before 18/03/2022 normally.

    Is it correct?

  • Usually not a huge fan of with South American coffees but these beans and your roast were really enjoyable. Any openings on the frequent buyers club for this one? Would like to have it as a staple for a while.

I think I didn't specify a date…can you manually change it or is it with the coffee gods now?

Edit: nevermind it looks like it did it for 11 Mar

    • Hey @bxpressiv

Wow those complimentary words are music to my ears, wrapped to know this one's a winner for you :)

Out of pure curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, what are your normal go to growing regions?

Thank you so much for jumping on this one with your order, it's really is so appreciated!

Glad you're happy with the 11th of March, if you need the date changed please simple send an email to [email protected]

Could you please send me an email to further clarify your Frequent Buyer Club comments? Not 100% sure whether you're asking to join the FBC and just get this SO or you're already a Member and would like to see if you can request this SO…you've probably made perfect sense in your comments here and I'm just in need of an afternoon coffee haha

      • Thanks, I have flicked you an email. I've long preferred African beans with the bulk of cheap stuff historically coming out of South America. Not that price is an indicator, good roasters can still get good flavours out of cheaper beans.

  • +1

    Morning :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to clarify, always best to check first!

Happy to see this deal is a winner for you. I believe you're spot on, but just to ensure we're 100% on the same page, if you "pick the date of 11/03/2022" then we'll dispatch your fresh coffee on 11/03/2022. It should hopefully arrive before 18/03/2022, but the arrival date is dependent on the delivery company and your location, all we can guarantee is the dispatch date :)

    • Great!
      Thanks for confirmation.

      • :)

  • Great stuff on the calendar idea! Will be sure to pop in an order for after the mystery flight concludes!

    • Morning :)

That sounds wonderful, thank you so much in advance, sounds like the perfect plan!

I'm wrapped to know the new calendar idea is a hit for you :)

  • +1

Good morning. The website update makes it much clearer, put an order in! Any deals for the swiss water decaf for immediate dispatch?

    • +1

Would also love a decaf deal!

      • +2

Appreciate you reaching out to show interest in us!

As mentioned to @thestig it's a tad tricky to get enough SWP Decaf to cover a deal at present. However, we may be able to do an EA Decaf deal if the SWP Decaf takes too long, as EA Decaf is process at Origin, so it can be shipped to Australia much quicker generally speaking. Join our deal email newsletter or keep your eyes peeled on Oz B to stay in the loop about Decaf deals landing :)

        • Thanks, I always look out for your deals!

    • +1

That's music to me ears, I'm wrapped to know you think our overhaul makes this much clearer. Thank you so much for placing an order with us, it really does mean so much!

I'd love to say yes, but unfortunately supply of the SWP Decaf continues to be a challenge. You may already know the journey the coffee needs to take but just in case…coffee goes from Origin (we usually get the Colombian SWP Decaf) all the way to Vancouver, Canada to get the Caf removed at the SWP Company HQ, then it needs to make its way to Australia. With shipping channels the way they currently are the SWP Company is having significant issues getting caf coffee into Canada from Origin and Decaf shipped out. We only have enough SWP Decaf at present to honour already purchased delayed dispatch orders, FBC orders and ongoing full price orders. When we're able to secure enough supply to cover a deal we'll likely launch one. Best bet is to be on our deal email newsletter is you're not already on it, otherwise keeped your eyes peeled on this terrific forum :)

  • What's the best before date? I have a fair bit of coffee in the pantry.

    • +1

That depends when the coffee is roasted

      • @spaceflight appreciate you taking the time to provide a response assist, nice answer!

To build on your comment, generally speaking we roast several times a and strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting :)

    • Nice user name, appreciate the question!

To get the most enjoyable flavour I'd recommend you request a delayed dispatch when you have roughly a week's worth of coffee left and order enough to get you through about a month. If you're planning on vac packing/sealing and then freezing then you're welcome to order a few months supply if you'd like to make the most out of our flat rate shipping cost :)

  • Didn't take long for that next date to go.

I'm down to my last 200g and have waiting for the next deal from you… Given that read, I guess I'm waiting for what's around the corner :D

    • 200g, so that will last you two days? Or is that just me. :)

      • Since I got a new machine and have been making espresso-style coffees (either an espresso, or a long black, or an oat-milk latte kind of deal, I dunno what you call it but there's no art!)… the beans are basically evaporating into thin air, versus the days of getting 250g and making v60 or aeropress filters!

      • Love it, sounds like you're always on high alert, super productive mode :)

    • Dealtime sure makes the good stuff fly out the door at lightning speed!

Shock horror, it's almost time to push the emergency coffee panic stations button…not long now to wait, fingers crossed our next deal will be a real winner for you, I have a hunch it will :)

  • Hi Tom,

    Love the enhancements!

Just placed an order (selecting a delayed shipping date from the calendar widget) but completely missed the note to write 'delayed dispatch' in the Special Instructions field. I've sent you an email to correct this (apologies for the inconvenience caused!), however, it might be worth updating your original post to bold this requirement to avoid others missing it.

    Thank you!

    • +1

Same. Seems strange to select a date and then write special instructions. Hope OP picks up on mine 😑

      • +1

Thank you so much for the order, it really does mean so much!

All good, not the end of the world, I've likely added it for you. I know it seems a tad off to do this. This is version 2.0 delayed dispatch, there'll likely be a version 3.0. Once Shippit and/or Shopify play ball with fetching and highlighting the details we need to identify delayed orders from the master sheet there'll be no need for the order note comment. Hopefully we'll hear back in the next week or so if they can make the customisation we need. If they can't/won't then for the time being either people will need to add the "delayed dispatch" note or we'll have to slip our delayed dispatch and rolling ASAP dispatch into separate deals. Good old tech, always a work in progress :)

    • Morning :)

Absolutely terrific to hear and fantastic to see your order swing through the online door, thank you so much, it's truly appreciated!

All good, appreciate the follow up, email received, replied to and note added :)

p.s. learn something new everyday, now I know how to make Oz B posts bold haha, appreciate the tip :)

      • Thanks Tom!

        • :)

  • +1

Ordered up on delayed dispatch thanks. Return customer several times now enjoying the coffee and your deals. Will be my 1st Tim tam deal so will enjoy that with my first new coffee.

Just some feedback: the green dates on the calendar are hard to see for me. Might be able to swap colours? Black background instead of white? Thanks again.

    • Thanks Tom! return customer although first time Tim Tam order!

Gotta agree with Stebbo. Green is alittle hard to distinguish for colour deficient people. But other than that, system is very simple to use!

      • Amazing, thank you so much for placing another fantastic order with us, it's truly appreciate and I hope you love the fresh coffee Tim Tam combo :)

I'm very happy that you found our new delayed dispatch system "very simple to use," music to my ears. Appreciate the 2nd, always love constructive feedback. To help with my tweaks, would you mind letting me know if the red (unavailable dates) were easy to identify AKA did you find the green via process of elimination (picked a date that wasn't red)?

        • Hey Tom,

I find contrasting colours work in such a case. You can always go "lime" (or green) and "blue" ;) Blue as the dates you can't select, Lime/Green as the Fridays you can. It would also go well with the company name if you know what I mean ;)

          All the best!

    • +1

Hey @Stebbo that's wonderful to hear, thank you so much for this order and all of your others too, it really is appreciated and does make such a positive impact for the team!

Love it, thank you so much for taking the time to provide this most helpful feedback. Believe it or not getting the code sorted for unavailable dates red and available dates green for delayed dispatch took over an hour. Was thinking of a traffic light type system, as the 1st version of the calendar was all the same colour, so it would have been a guessing game for customers to figure out which date they could pick. Fresh eyes never hurts, I'll work on a few tweaks with the aim of getting the available/green dates to pop a bit more.

Hope you love this delicious SO :)

  • +1

Some feedback: I also think typing Delayed dispatch in the special instruction field is a bit redundant if you can select the date of delayed dispatch. I know some of things we've done to get our coffee hit are unspeakable even anonymously over the internet and we can jump through a lot more hoops to get 40% discount (much appreciated and keep up the fine work that you do), but it'll just make yours and our lives easier without this extra step.

    • +1

@catear thank you so much for your much appreciated feedback, complimentary words and orders (I assume), it truly means so much to the team!

I can't agree more with your comments, you're spot on! As mentioned to @bemybubble above "I know it seems a tad odd to do this. Good old tech, always a work in progress :)" Thus far we've got a maybe back from one of them, they've escalated our request to their senior coders to test and come back to us if it's a go, fingers crossed. Whatever the result we'll keep working have to maximise efficiency while improving quality of our site, service and the good stuff AKA we'll keep working hard to stay in your good books :)

  • Great deal! First time customer, just placed an order :)

    • Me too. Hope it's got plenty of body.

      • Amazing, we're really do appreciate the opportunity, thank you so much for placing your first fantastic order with us!

This SO's got some nice body to it, fingers crossed it's just the right amount for you :)

    • +1

WOW that's wonderful, thank you so much for placing your first terrific order with us, it's truly means so much to the team, we're wrapped this deal was a winner for you :)

  • Any deals on the MTM blend?

    • There's sure will be, just not in the imminent future, stay turned to our email deal newsletter or keep your eyes peel on the terrific forum :)

    Repeat buyer of this one.

Missed out on the Frequent Buyer Club deal. Any plans for a repeat?

    • Awesome, thank you so much for your order with us, they're truly appreciated!

Shucks, that's a shame, let's see how our first FBC journey goes first, then we'll decide if there's a round 2. Please send me an email [email protected] when you get a sec to indicate your interest in our FBC :)

Still going through the kilo from last deal. I did a sample with family members to share and they liked this bean best as well. Would definitely buy again.

    • WOOT WOOT that's wonderful music to my ears, thank you (and your family) for that outstanding vote of confidence, I'm absolutely wrapped to know how much you've been enjoying your fresh Lime Blue Coffee!!!

p.s. thank you so much for your order too, it's truly appreciated :)

  • +1

My current fave is Inglewood Sunset Boulevard….what beans would you recommend that are similar tasting profiles?

    • +1

I bounce around on these Ozbargain coffee deals and Inglewood Sunset Boulevard was definitely one of the best that I've tried. With that said, I bought these same Lime Blue beans last purchase and I'm definitely picking some more up now.

  • +1

On my 3rd bag now and, as a random aside, I prefer the taste of this with my 48 mm conical hand grinder over my 83 mm big flat.

    • 48mm conical - is that a JX?

      • Yah the cousin 1zpresso jmax

  • Confused can i just order and get it delivered? or Do i need to pick a date?

    • I believe this deal is specifically for the delayed dispatch.

      • +1

Spot on @kaoz I really appreciate the answer assist here, thanks heaps!

Hope you have a terrific day :)

    • +1

      Morning :)

Better safe than sorry, so I'm glad you clarified!

We launched this deal specifically to celebrate the recent overhaul we did on our unique Delayed Dispatch system. As such orders placed using this deal discount are for delayed dispatch AKA you need to pick a date. If you're going to run out of the good stuff before our next available delayed dispatch date (spots are filling up pretty quickly on 11/3) then hold tight another deal is just around that corner which will be exclusively for ASAP rolling dispatch not delayed dispatch :)

  • woooo first time buying and can't wait to try out!

    • woooo right back at you :)

That's terrific to hear, thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it really does mean so much to the team!

Fantastic that you're excited to get stuck into the good stuff, fingers crossed you love it :)

  • I usually buy from a local roaster here in Launceston (Ritual Coffee) but I'll give this a crack, thanks for the deal! :)

    • WOW thank you so much for giving us a shot, your order is truly appreciate and the opportunity won't be taken for granted!!!

  • Asked for 25/03 dispatch.
    Haven't received yet

    • Morning :)

Thank you so much for your order, it's truly appreciated!

Could you please send a reply email to your order confirmation so I can look at the status of your tracking updates?

  • This is great coffee! Unfortunately delivery to WA took more than three weeks, but I guess that’s no fault of Lime Blue, but rather the overwhelmed postal service. However, we are currently enjoying these fantastic beans and are glad we took the chance on them. Cheers
