  • will it work on a neighbour's barking dog?

I like your moxy, but you've basically got to buy 4+ for the price to be decent and even then it'd only be about the right price not incredibly cheap.

I realise you'd be making no money on it, but we wouldn't really be saving any either. Computer parts is a hard market to get a good deal on since they often run on thin margins.

we understand where your coming from but, since postage in australia just isn't the cheapest of things, we cant really offer that much less,

but if you bundle with the other item you will be able to get free shipping even if you just buy 1 item.

we might be able to do better deals in the future but for now this is the best we can cut it.

      regards

Hah, you got six neg votes but there are only 3 pos votes on the deal… meaning at least 3 people agree with you but voted neg on your comment anyway.

          Good ole ozbargain :)

          Good ole ozbargain :)

just goes to prove i was right…

Yeah man, like I said, I get it. You can't do better and I don't blame you or hold it against you. Computer parts margins blow, that's just reality. But it means that most discounts on computer parts are also not bargains.

$30 delivered if you want one…

Sorry to disappoint you, but this special is targeted at people who are looking for bargains with bundles. Yes, buying one fan may not be worth it, but with a package deal of multiple fans plus free shipping, it's more enticing.

  • I have always found the word 'silent' to be misused with regard to fans.

They may be 'very quiet' but silent means no noise at all.

  • Too expensive! There are near silent fans for less than $10.

Which fans are you comparing it with? These are pretty hard to find in Aus, pretty sure this is the cheapest source inc shipping

when I was into 120mm fans I liked glacialtech $8.30
      http://gocomp.com.au/index.php?cpath=productinfo&pid=II03454…
      120mm fans were so 2008!

I now prefer slow moving 22cm+ fans, I have passive large Cpu heatsink (for my sandybridge) with large case fan close by cooling all of motherboard.
Sure I have to use a pantyhose as the fan filter and latino pasta containers to direct airflow, but it keeps the mind active lol

  • Tempted to buy 4 of these.

But just a Q, would anyone happen to know if these are quieter than the Noctua P12's?

    • +1

based on both companies, the noctua is rated at 1300rpm with 19.8dbA while the noiseblocker is 1400rpm at 20dbA.

they both push roughly the same amount of air, noctua-92.3m^3/h, NB - 96m^3/h

but if you are just looking at noise then the noctua is the winner but for an extra $9-10 per fan
