    Sandisk 16GB Micro SD @ $8.95
    That's insane.
    Class 4 I hope? Not class 2?
I got my 32GB MicroSD class 4 for $50 from SS a while back.. wow at the prices now

Gotta love the dodgy photoshop on the "6" as in 16GB.
    http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=186353&n=202…
    Inspires confidence Lol.

Great value if its the real thing.

    • I ordered one last time and it came and I'm still using it. Also, I remember that last time, they also gave us a $4 credit for the account.

    how insane is the postage?

    oops, $1 is not bad

    • "Over 400 Bargains from $1 with $1 Shipping Australia Wide Today"

      cough

  • Thanks, got a micro sd for my mums camera :)

    Also just a reminder:

Please dont be tempted by cheapo no brand car chargers such as the types here, nor anecdotal stories "I bought one from DX for $2 and its great etc"
I have popped these oped. It s a horror show of soldering/missing protection diodes etc. You are asking to fry your lovely electronic goods. Spend a few $ on a decent brand. Just saying…

    • I am looking for a USB car charger actually…this one no good?

      http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_399963_Dual_Port_USB_Car_…

      Any links to something decent?

      :)

      • +5

The 12v stuff slips through without much scrutiny but 12v at car battery current can easily turn your lovely i-device into a puddle of burnt plastic. Can and does happen. More common with cheapo unprotected car chargers: people frying their devices whilst starting the motor whilst plugged in. (voltage surge/spikes).

It could be fine but would definitely buy a brand with a reputation to protect. Belkin etc. Would be a shame to "save" $10 and kill your device.

        • OK cheers mate :D

too bad you missed the recent Big W one day only Belkin MP3 Starter kit (with USB car charger) for $10.

          Don't remind me :(

Just order 2 of these Micro SD, the postage comes with $1.50.

Are the microSD OEM or retail packaged?

  • Can any1 tell me whether Sandisk 16GB USB Drive @ $10.95 is a good branded USB which I can use at least 1 years? Whether its a real bargain? Is Warrenty is OK with online purchases? Thank you.
Sorry I dont know much about these and the 4GB Flash USB I took for my daughter from HN was not working properly, after 1 month of purchased
    THANKYOU

    • +1

Sandisk is a fairly well known and decent brand. I've used the same one for about a few months.
For that price it's much cheaper than if you would have bought it in a retail store. Usually, they cost more than $1 per Gigabyte of storage so this is bargain.
Not too sure about the warranty.

      • Thank you so much!!

  • in case anyone is wondering…
there aren't many iphone accessories, and the only one that is actually $1 is the crappy silicon cassette tape case http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=243441&n=202…

    $6 for a cable?! hardly a promotional price… http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=400028&n=202…

missed jw offer yesterday. Got 3 microSDHC shipping is $2. Hopefully it's not a fake sandisk.

Danilochan, can you please explain why my order for Galaxy Note that was placed on 10/4/2012 still hasn't been shipped after 2 weeks and when it would be shipped??

  • +2

Good price on the Sandisk cruzer blade 16GB. I had one and it was REALLY SLOW. 4MB write speed. Read speed wasn't fantastic either. Even the $5 Verbatim that I picked up at Harveys is faster than this. If speed is not a concern then this is a good deal.

  • Hi, I would like to buy this from your ebay site.
Is that possible with this price as well?
    Cheers.

  • Thanks, great find

  • SanDisk 16GB USB Drive is now showing for $12.90….. was it for $10.95 before?? :( :(

  • I need class 10 microsdhc to install operating system… any decent class 10 16GB?

    • "Speed Classes 2, 4, and 6 assert that the card supports the respective number of MB/s as a minimum sustained write speed for a card in a fragmented state. Class 10 asserts that the card supports 10 MB/s as a minimum non-fragmented sequential write speed."

You may better get a class 4/6 with fast 4K QD32 if you plan to run OS/software from that.
And you may find if you use a cl10 better low 4K QD32 one, the system might crash so often

      • +1

Err, can you explain what is 4K QD32?

Edit: OK. Scrap the question, just Googled it.
For the curious, like myself, it's a particular test under a benchmarking program
        called CrystalDiskMark.

I was looking at an old (paper) notebook today, trying to find a password. I have this written down- 256mb flash drive $86- obviously a super special at the time

    • wow… any left?

Amazing when we look back… somtimes I have nightmares over the 250mb (yes mb) IDE hdd i bought way back then for a kings ransom and people were saying … you will never use all that space..

      • Oh man, that was what my teacher told the class once.

    • My first flash dive was 64MB and was on special for $90.

      • first RAM upgrade on my first PC, 8MB for a bargain of $400. Mind you, that would have been in 1994.

  • Yay… I bought three of the 16Gb cards - one for my girlfriend's phone, and the other two for our DS Lites. And I bought the "RC6 Remote Control For Canon 550D 1D 2D 5D MarkII", it'll go well with my 550D :)

    • I was going to purchase the RC6 remote, but then the image and description doesn't say whether it is genuine Canon accessories or not. Therefore I didn't, given that a non-official Canon RC6 equilvalent is < $3 posted on eBay.

Good luck with buying anything from this site. I am still awaiting my 32GB card from http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/67368
    Non existence customer service!

Shopping Square really like using this site to post specials which is great but why don't they ever reply to any questions?

    • Exactly. Since there is no reply on whether the microSD card comes in retail package I won't buy.

      • Does it really matter if the $9 TF card in retail package or not? It says Class 4, 5 years warranty which you can claim through shoppingsquare's website in your account later on. And you can choose to pay through PayPal.

        • +9

I like the assurance of genuineness that a properly packaged item gives. It will also come with a SD adapter. How good an online company is is determined by the after sale support. If the company will not even bother to answer questions before sale, they are very unlikely to respond to your problems post-sale.

      • It does NOT come in a retail packaging. It comes in a plastic Micro SD card holder.

I hate packaging. I would rather have OEM packaging with everything I buy.

    • Shopping Square really like using this site to post specials which is great but why don't they ever reply to any questions?

Perhaps….. it being a public holiday……. they've taken the day to have some time with family…

  • Missed yesterdays deal so got 2 here, thanks

  • i think these guys go under APUS AUCTIONS on ebay, if so they do sell genuines, bought 5 x 8gb microsds on an earlier bargain of theirs, came quick too and all genuine after testing them all.

no doubt their 16gb will be the same.. bought 4 of em.

    • Just curious - why do you need so many of them?

      • everything these days use memory cards.. let me see..

HTC phones, psp, ds lite, dsi,3ds, slr camera, iriver mp3 player, xbox360, nintendo wii, ps3.

i use some as a storage device to plug into my tv to play digital content off the card

and a few spares to carry around as usb flash drives on my keychain.

I've got an email saying "Your payment has been received" along with PayPal payment advise. But when logged in under "My Account", Order 607****2, Status: Unpaid, with the option to "Pay this order now". What does that mean?

How fast is their shipping? I was hoping to receive this by next Thursday, any luck of that happening?
Judging from Macademia and Brai007, probably won't happen?

    • No chance…

      Have a look carefully…

Have you actually had that experience??

  • Only a matter of time before 32gb micros go for $20…danilochan offer us pls?

  • Found this on the same site:
    http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_64941_SanDisk_16GB_Extrem…

    Is $26 + postage a bargain for a class 10 card?

Seems good to me but I don't buy cards much.

    • How does the Class 10 SD compare to the Class 4 MicoSD advertised above?

      • Well its 45mb/s rather than class 4 speed… which I have heard is about 4mb/s but don't quote me on that.

        • +1

they are all 'up to' speeds.
do more research before committing $

  • Reminder to fellow Ozbaragainers to use your SS points (1000 pts = $1 credit) if you got some from previous deals. I used my 6000 points from a previous SS deal (16GB Sandisk USB drive), so got the 16BG microsd for $3.95 delivered, thanks OP, great deal.

i got my 16gb micro SD card this morning from officework for only $9.45, as officework has beat 5% policy, you just simply go to officework , make sure they have the item, then show them this promotion to any staff, and you can get the price i got,
as $8.95 for item plus $1 shipping total is $9.95, so 95% is $9.45
    enjoy everyone

  • Say, does anyone know… I have a GPS and its user manual says it takes a 2GB or 4GB MicroSD card. So what would happen if I put this 16GB in it? Will it only read 4GB out of the 16? Or it just won't be able to read the card at all?

    • it wont read

  • anyone got theirs ? it said "dispatched" on the website but that was 27/4, now a week later and not delivered. I think "dispatched" means from the warehouse, not delivered (and missing!) ???

    • Same, I got email that it was dispatched on the 27/4 and nothing has come yet

    • Me too… still waiting for it…

    • This is what I got after I raised a ticket asking them why:

"Please note that this order is under directly shipped category which means that it was directly shipped from our Hong Kong warehouse.

Furthermore, if an item is under directly shipped category, it takes around 10-15 working days to arrive in Australia."

      • Still no cards received. Not such a good deal with wait for delivery. The memory city was a better deal and cards received already.

        • I received both of mine today.

  • I just received mine today, just the memory card (class 4) (no adaptor) in the small case. Came from Hong Kong, in an envelope, absolutely no protection at all. Two layers of bubble wrap doesnt cost that much does it?
