Ive had a couple of this style over the years. I find the angled bit the bottom piece slides down to open is made a plastic and before long it gets a dent in the plastic and eventually does not open easily. It has happened very quickly with one. My last one I just keep in the open position. Aside from that I find them great for small loads.

    • Yes, Indeed a great buy for moving small loads. Last one I bought 5 years ago, is still serving me well except the difficulty in opening due to the same thing you mentioned above.

Yes but to be fair it is called a Dunn folding trolley, so obviously it's dunn folding.

@8azinga: My bad. Still, more than an hour round trip to the closest one for me just isn't worth it. Low stock at Big W is always a gamble.

      • looks like m driving to Morwell or Wonthaggi from Pakky

        • I didn't even know you could drive from Pakistan!

I don't have this exact brand, but I have the exact same type of hand trolley. These little things are simply awesome - I've really hit that max (or more) 70kg limit a few times and its still going great. Only word of caution is obviously don't try to pull tilt it toward you with a heavy ass load, you'll snap it/bend the base right quick. Instead, try leveraging your tilt more from the bottom if possible.

  • I have one similar i got from OW and it has served me well over 10 years.

    Thanks got one

  • Reminds me, I've been looking to invest in a 'Dolly' tray that removalists use - is the one from Bunnings good based on people's experiences?
    eg. https://www.bunnings.com.au/syneco-580-x-290-x-100mm-movers-…
Or do you have to buy like professional grade?

They will be perfectly fine for HEAVY domestic use. If you paid more you might get…

Timber that will cope with a bit of water damage (mdf is terrible for this)
Wheels that are less likely to scratch/ damage your floors. Such as nylon or rubber coated.

Up to you what you want. But these will cope with some serious loads.

    Bunnings equivalent @ full price.

Have this and have used it for years, great for moving random shit as needed. Has a metal toe plate so less likely to encounter the bending issue that others are mentioning with their plastic ones.

Used mine for moving my Dnd stuff (entire box of books, minis, electronics and more) in one go. So much easier than lifting with my arms and back.

Bought the Bunnings version to transport student robots around during interstate trip. Excellent for the price. Folds down to be carry on for a plane or easily tape it to a suitcase.

Have walked about 8km with a 20kg load so far.

Only complaint is that the handle is a little short, another 10-20cm would have been goo wetd.

    • Yeah, I would love for the handle to be a tiny bit longer. It's still useable but would be so much more comfortable.

    I have one similar

      Then?

  • I have found this to be surprisingly sturdy, I even moved my washing machine with this over a short distance and up a step.

  • Is delivery not available for this item? I've tried a few stores with stock but the delivery option has a red cross.

    • Yeah, I couldn't seem to see a valid delivery option as a Queenslander either.

  • Just picked up one. Surprisingly good quality. Already used to move some kitchen cabinets I'm building
