I've already got a pair of the GT1 Pros, they're great. Ms sween64 was getting jealous so I was going to get her a pair but there was no local stock. I found these which I believe are the next gen after the Pros. Increased battery life and aptx added. Comparison table, comparison review

Nice pair of buds when they work. Have 3 of these and 2 have died. One stopped charging and the other right bud won't turn on. Have the older model and the Bluetooth cuts out when phone is in pocket, hopefully cranked out the power with these new ones

How long after purchase did they die? Did you purchase from Amazon? Did you get a refund?

I've had no issues with Bluetooth cutting out on my GT1 Pro. Connected to an iPhone XS.

      • Not from Amazon, ebay and aliexpress. All died within a year but the one I still use was the very first one I got which is probably close to 2 years

        • I've had mine for 4 months so hopefully they continue to last. Returns via Amazon AU should be easy if I have an issue.

losing signal in your pocket is usually a sign of 2.4ghz interference.

I can leave my phone at one end of the office and walk to the other without losing connection (well over 30m) but if I go into the roof of our warehouse where we have about 30 wireless APs I cant get any wireless headphones to maintain a stable connection.

I initially thought it was just the orientation of the phone in my pocket and my body being in the path, but that seems to only become a problem when Im around lots of other radio gear (like a busy train station, shopping centre, apartments etc)

      • Exactly my thoughts but it still might have a weaker signal compared to others. I notice it on my walk to work, there's a specific part in the town square where it would lose connection.

I tried it on other Bluetooth buds and an es100 dac and none of them had problems when going through the black spot area.

        • Different brands/models will definitely perform differently, for sure.

I too thought my new QCY T13s sucked, or that my left pocket was simply not a good spot for my phone when using bluetooth, but not having any issues in the office, walking down the street or when leaving my phone in the other room and only having a problem with the signal in the roof, i came to my conclusion.

Similar issues with wireless android auto/carplay - Toll gates interfere with the connection, as do 'smart' car parks with sensors over the spaces, or driving into an apartment building carpark.

Theres one spot near Rosehill Race Course on James Ruse drive Parramatta where the radio traffic is that bad it will totally knock out my Wireless carplay long enough to time out and have to reconnect. Basically from the offramp up past the speed camera which is about 500-800m.

  • What are these like for listening to TV?

    • They advertise as no lag for mobile gaming so I assume TV viewing would also be good.

      • ok Thanks, ordered

Great to have another set of these. I have a bad habit of accidentally putting them through the washing machine.

  • from one of the review the microphone seems to be not good. only if you plan to use it.

It seems all of these type earphones have bad mics - pretty much expected at this point

    • +1

Due to their form factor, their microphones are positioned in your ear which is behind your mouth and therefore is the worse place possible for microphone placement. It's a minor miracle that they picked up your voice at all.

  • Any thoughts on how these compare with Taotronics soundliberty 97 at slightly lower price atm?

  • i don't buy earbuds with 'touch' control (as i've said on a few other posts)

too annoying when trying to readjust them..
annoying if you use them during exercise/work/putting earmuffs/bike helmet on etc.. take a shirt off etc etc.

for sitting still and playing on the phone.. no worries i guess.

    • I agree, however at this price point, worth to keep as a spare.

    • Agree, really dislike touch controls and so many of the new cheapo Earbuds have it.

  • Aptx should mean no lag. That's a good feature to have
