Charger Recommendations for a Phone That Can Handle 66W

I have a ZTE Nubia red magic 6s pro and it is the international version I believe which can handle up to 66 watts of charging so I'm asking if anyone knows of any good cheap chargers that can do fast charging so I can keep one at work.
The charging port is USB C. I also need a recommendation for a cable that can do the fast charging or if any USB C cable from Big W can handle 40-65 watt charging I can just buy that.

Just looking for economical options so I don't lose phone power at work which I am doing right now lol haha. 5% and got battery anxiety I won't be able to get a taxi home lol.

Worst case scenario I'll just get a standard cheap 10-20 watt charger and basic cable which is better than nothing but I'm wondering if anyone has found any good contenders. Oh man if this was the Chinese version it could handle up to 120 watts of charging which is 0% to 100% in 17 minutes which is insane but alas it is not.

Hope everyone is safe thanks for all your helps as always.

  • For cheap stuff ….. jump to ebay. If you really want to spend money and get a good one, I believe HP and Dell produce 65W charger. still left with 1 wat….. dang

  • You just need to get a charger that supports either Power Delivery 3.0 or Quick Charge 5 as per spec

    Look for this

Your anxiety is better treated with a power bank, doesn't matter the power rating

    • That one from Amazon AU looks perfect just gotta keep out for the next one thanks.

    • Ended up going with a ravpower multi port with a 45w pd port and a 2m usb c 100w cable.

      $35 + $10 = $45

Not as good as the Amazon $26 deal but couldn't wait.

  • Check Amazon or AliExpress for the highly rated chargers and cables e.g. from Baseus, UGREEN, Fasgear etc

Charger get one as avoidfullprice said - PD / QC technology

Cable to be safe buy a 100w USBC cable.

    • Thanks I'll give them a look.

  • Merged from Anyone Try One of These Generic Suspicious Looking Fast Chargers?

So looking for a fast charger with either pd3 or qc5 for my red magic 6s pro international which can handle roughly 66w of charging power apparently and came across this as a cheap option.

    [eBay au link] (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/65W-45W-USB-C-Type-C-Charger-for…)

    $21.95 + free postage

Says it does 65w and has a type c port which is what I need but yeah it is not branded and I'm wondering if anyone else has safely used this.

The power connection also looks a bit scary and thin like it could snap or fall off the outlet.

Thoughts or has anyone actually tried one of these.

I just ended up buying one of the ravpower multi port ones that do 45w out of the pd port for safety using a code on the listing that brought it to around $35 as I can repurpose it for other things with the extra 4 normal ports but I'm wondering if the above one would be safe to use at work.

    EDIT:

Verdict: very sus not trustworthy total fire and safety hazard so will not buy and nor should anybody that values their property or well being

The power connection looks like one of the 30c converters that I would not be using.

Yeah my gut feeling is telling me it will break at that connection and turn into an electrical safety hazard.

        • +1

Pre breaking its already an electrical safety hazard. I don't think they meet our safety standards either.

That connection is ontop of an international connection.

It's a cheap one of these without the insulation

          • @Soluble: Thinking I should report this to ebay before someone dies to this contraption.

            • @AlienC: Doubtful the ebay one is Australian Standard, can't see any C-tick and the pins aren't insulated

              • @[Deactivated]: Good to get some second opinions in here.

The fool in me nearly fell for the bargain.

But as always if its too good to be true it usually is.

I am fairly certain now these type of ads with all the certifications and reassurances and quality pass and checks on the images and descriptions are all fake and false which really should be reported or removed from the website but there are probably way too many of them for ebay to remove.

      I'd just get a Lenovo 65W USB-C charger for $40: https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/accessories-and-monitors/charge…

I swear by these, great for charging my laptop, phone, iPad, anything USB-C and always very reliable. FWIW, the good thing about USB-C is that it's here to stay, so a good charger will last you forever. I've got these Lenovo chargers that have been running on more than 5 years now.

      • Isn’t that a link to a non usb c charger?

        • welcome to ozbargain enjoy your stay

edit: yeah it is not usb c

Linked the wrong one (my bad), rest of the point still stands though.

    • Why risk your thousand dollar phone on a cheap charger.

        Very good call

More importantly a fire hazard which would burn down a building
