I love Putin. He is cleaning the puppet in Ukraine. That comedian bought the president, while russian in Ukraine are getting kicked out.

      • +1

"Russian in Ukraine are getting kicked out" is a false info, total fake. I know that from my russian speaking friends in Ukraine.
        I hate terrorist no.1 Putin.

      • With such average grammar, you must be Russian…

    • +8

are you allergic to factual information?

  • +4

Ok, I get where you some of you people are coming from. You've affirmed yourself to not be a sympathiser of either "team" and I appreciate that.

I think where you are running into arguments with me and others here is that, whilst you don't have to "choose a fighter", the humans (not the political systems that they live under) are being beaten back for decisions out of their control, if we take these places to be run by elites that don't care about the population.

It is a tragic thing, and for many people this is the first time that something like this has been pushed in their face. For those of us that read about this stuff all the time, we can take a more critical view as we've probably been reading about war crimes since we were 15 and have become jaded to atrocity.

If you'll allow me an analogy - it would be like going to a Facebook page for bushfire victims, and commenting a highly detailed breakdown of the impact of climate change on bushfire frequency and intensity, and how each one of us contributes by driving vehicles and using electricity and plastic.

It may be true, and the conversation needs to be had at some point.

In that moment however, it does little for the distressed and now homeless people looking desperately online for support.

If you want, you can pick apart pieces of my analogy, and we can construct a better one. I don't want to "win", I want everybody to come to an understanding of each other's thought processes. Build a model of each other's brains and understand that everybody grew up perceiving the world differently, and parts of that cannot be changed no matter how many scientific journals you send them.

I see some of the stuff published on Reddit and say out loud - "that's just propaganda!" For both sides.

The top post this morning was of a Russian APC getting blown up. How perverse have our online communities become that we need every morning to be shown soldiers who ultimately have no say whether they fight or not, getting turned into gore by the same people in different uniforms? It sickens me.

    • @icarus255, let me know what you think. We're all here to save money at the end of the day, so clearly we can all agree that buying brand new stuff for full price like materialistic sheep is no good, right?

      • +3

Sure I agree 100% that the war is no good for anyone but dealbot has been pushing his Ukrainian agenda here (along with all mainstream media) non-stop. I feel sorry for the millions of refugees streaming into Europe and Russia. It must be shattering to leave everything behind and run the gauntlet under fire to safety but that doesn't mean I support their country or what they've done for the last 10 or so years.
I also agree with you on the fact that OzBargain being a place to put up good deals not air your political views and push your agendas. Not sure why the admins let him/her post this crap.

    • -2

I enjoyed the footage of the tank column getting attacked by drones and they retreated like dogs with their tail between their legs .
It looked like Dads Army .

  • +4

I forget was there anything for any country in the middle East ? The USA invade hundreds of countries no one bats an eyelid

    • +4

      Cool story

      • CNN is strong in you

        • 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  • +5

I need a sticker for "Where is the weapon of mass destruction"

  • +3

Not 1 country squeaks when China occupies neighbouring lands.

    • -1

countries do squeak when china occupies neighbours e.g tibet ….the problem is that squeaks are different to physical actions china has become the worlds factory and if sanctions on china responded with no exports of mobile phones, probabaly worse than no oil from russia as alternative supplies exist …… we saw what happened when china stopped exports of rare earth metals to japan.

unkraine is a huge country and on the door steps of europe so has europeans concerned especially since they have had 2 World wars in 50 years, the last only 75 years ago, ….not many issues are on the doorstep of the USA ….. no ruins in USA from ww1, or ww2 , australia only had darwin bombed …. i was born in europe and my parents lived through the war and the stories i was told were not nice , as a child some of the places you’d see in the country sites were still ruins from bombs ….. we are lucky in australia we are an island , usa is lucky as they aren’t attached to europe ….

  • Thanks dealbot! My car can use one of these stickers.

    • Wow, why the down votes?!?

      • +3

Putin supporters who actually believe he is fighting Nazis.

  • lmao all I could think seeing this
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aw68jnwVgCg

  • -2

We need a sticker that's supports Climate change! And global warming!

    • i think people in queensland need to talk to some of their neighbours ….some are digging up coal to keep their jobs, the other neighbours get flooded due to climate change ……

  • +3

Am I the only one who felt that this deal is posted to sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy watching people fight over the issue, rather thn actually being a deal or any good cause to support innocent people.

Seems like you are a di*****d. Ain't you a refugee from a warzone yourself, if I remember correctly ? How about you post a deal about that ?

Nothing to make the weekend better than a deal for people to debate about the Ukraine/Russia conflict.

  • +8

Not as simple as it sounds. I regretfully believed the government when we went to Iraq. The propaganda machine is on overtime but of course there are plenty of fact checkers to correct this. I drink vodka now.

  • +3

There is so much crap in this thread about the USA .
Australia couldn't protect themselves against a paper bag let alone China .
So all our defence is reliant on the good USA saving our a$$ and that is the only deterrent this country has for protection .

    • +1

Who said anything about US-Australia relationship? It's about how the poor Ukraine is being used as a pawn by the USA in this whole crisis. US-Australia relationship has nothing to do with this, at least for now.

    • But would they?

    • lolx, what an opportunistic approach, people like you are rotten tomatoes in relationships.

    • +2

Australia couldn't protect themselves against a paper bag let alone China .

That's not true. The size of our country in land mass is a huge advantage when it comes to defense. China would not do well invading Australia, even without help from USA. Australians are stubborn. Even Chinese Australians would fight Chinese invaders.

You seem to believe China has a lot of experience invading other countries. They do not. They fought India with sticks. Literally stick warfare.

      Tibet - easy target.

South China Sea is a modern example, but nothing like the scale that would be required to attack Australia.

In other words, China will not touch Australia, but Australia really should keep out of Taiwan. Just look on the map, look where Taiwan is. Now look where China is. You think Australia has any business being there?

      • although australia is a large country, most is empty so invasion doesn’t need to worry about the e deserts ….. and resistance movement from the simpson desert would need a lot of bottled water …… to take out countries you disrupt the water supply and sewerage systems in major cities and you have chaos …. you don’t need to subdue all of sydney, just destroy pumping stations and water treatment plants and some let parts of the electric grid and you have millions of people without water or power …… and people will need to move ….russia isn’t attacking the empty bits of ukraine ….it’s the major cities and key infrastructure ……you want to create terror and create refugee exodus to disrupt a country ..

        • refugee exodus

Funny. Australia has vast distances between towns and cities. We are spread out. People fleeing broken water supplies have nowhere to flee to. And what would be the enemy's end game? Occupation? Won't happen.

Ukraine is smaller than the state of NSW. You can't compare what's happening there to any threat Australia might face. It's a completely different challenge to take on the whole of Australia. We are an island, there's no driving a convoy of tanks down the road to Australia.

The only possible action might be slap on wrist retaliation missiles if we stick our noses too much in China's business, such as Taiwan…. which is a similar distance from mainland China as Byron Bay is to Brisbane. In other words, we have no business fighting in Taiwan.

  • +5

Ukraine army placed the rockets launchers among residential blocks and blame it on Russia shooting civilians.

    • rockets aren't a precision weapon, and they have limited range ….very cheap so that you can fire lots of them , unlike precision missiles, rockets are designed to create cheap destruction quickly in residental areas and have longer range and can be fired faster than artilery ..some times rockets are called self propeled artilery as they are used instead of artilery (cannons) … no laser guidance, no gps, subject to wind variables depending where they land if they land within 1km of their target that is good, so if sydney was surrounded by an enemy they might aim for the harbour bridge but it might hit a hospital or ferry terminal , but they are cheap and one will hit the bridge if you fire enough….. and they are mobile and move …… so you dont fire a rocket at a specific building, you fire in a general areas and a few of them.

optimised for demoralising and causing chaos …..

there are economies in the cost of weapon used …. bullets cheapest, rockets cost more, guided missiles expensive, dropping bombs from planes risks pilots and has the cost of plane and fuel …… I don't think the cost of Ukranian civilans features in Russian selection of weapon ….. same with cost of soldiers, solidiers from Syria are cheaper than soliders from Russia and you don't get mums in Russia crying over dead Syrian soldiers, you do over dead Russian solders …..

    • ye like what could be worse.. like uh… leaving weapons and equipment in a medical truck? nooo

      • +1

russia has invaded ukraine, ukraine hasn’t invaded russia, if russia stayed on their side of the border there would be no conflict ….. any shots fired by an invading army are unacceptable …..

  • +5

we stand with don't mean sh!t.. just a publicity stunt that companies are pulling..
imagine Russia wanted to setup a military base in Cuba. would USA be ok with it and what would USA do? ohh whoops I'm getting flashbacks..

    • +1

cuban missile crisis was 1962, so 60 years ago, not sure your age if you lived through it and are having flashbacks …cold war era, berlin wall, checkpoint charlie and russian nuclear misses 103 miles from florida must have been scarey, .anyway actions done by people in the past don’t determine the actions we take now ,, we live in a different era, the cold war was over, berlin wall fallen, germany reunified, but russia seems to think it has right to invade another sovereign nation.

      • +1

I'm talking about present day, no I was not alive but we know history thanks to the available resources my flashbacks are historically based. point is today America wants to setup a military base right as Russia's door, and if Russia has any ounce of strategic survival brains they would do what they are doing now. flip the script for a second and think what would USA do if Russia wanted to set up military bases in Mexico in 2022.. USA would loose their shit and be amassing a full land air and sea invasion over Mexico.. and if you think usa is not capable of that? keep in mind they attacked a soverent nation and killed millions of its citizens (iraq) for no reason, what would stop them from doing that to mexico now that they would have a reason?

if we compare Russia to USA, Russia is deterring its neighbour country from becoming a military base for its biggest rival the USA. other countries: Hmm we should help ukraine (usa's side)

USA attacks another country across the world called iraq for no reason and kills millions of its citizens, other countries including Australia: Hmm we should help USA

  • who watched the new video of Ukrainians making a fake video of dead bodies lol, one of the guys gets up during the video and another runs to put him down and pull the bag over his head. it was shown on Austrian news.

    • +9

That was from a climate change protest years ago you numpty. Good job thinking a meme edit was news

      https://youtu.be/jHLBzN2Y0R4

Here's proof wherever you get your news from is false information. Will it change your opinion? Probably not, you're probably too far down the rabbit hole.

    • +6

      Update:

The protest was 2 weeks before the war in Ukraine even started and the video you so stupidly believed is an intentionally faked propaganda post from Russia. You're so gullible it's horrifying for democracy going into the future.

      https://youtu.be/8LkXnEPK3GM

      • +7

No worries. He'll move on to the next fact claim his preferred sources come up with, to spread uncertainty and doubt which is the aim of these Russian propaganda trolls.

When you don't have a logical argument to beat the truth, it's all you can do to make fake claims up.

  • +10

lol where did all these Russian trolls come from

    • +7

Or how are they even being paid now?

    • Is not trolls. I studied war for 20 years, media is trying to justify this war is bad, because our media is controlled by the west. How come no one complaint about Iraq war?

      • +1

speaking of war - this one is worth reading
        https://www.amazon.com.au/War-Russia-Putin-Ukraine-Russiagat…

        • Worth also mentioning it's a pro-Putin author.

So easy to like autocrats of poor, backwards countries while living in rich and tolerant Australia.

      • +7

If you studied war for 20 years, you should know that there were many complaining about the Iraq war.

They even had graffiti on the Opera House which went global… but let's ignore the facts for the sake of false equivalence, to deflect.

        • +3

That person never said they studied well and successfully…

      • +7

Lol no you didn't. A 20 second look into your comment history shows you're just a bored troll.

      • west controlled media …so are you saying russia hasn’t invaded ukraine, a sovereign nation with an elected government ,

    • +2

good chance Russia has a room full of people replying in facebook, Reddit, and maybe even on Ozbargain a scripted narrative …..

    • -1

Also important where did all Ukrainian neo-Nazis come from?

  • +5

I wish they also stood with Palestine… Oh wait, they're brown :(

    • Nah, they ain't brown, they are indeed very white, they are from the other son of Abraham (PBUH) i.e. Ismael (PBUH) rather than Isaac (PBUH). They are cousins indeed.

  • +8

Jesus H Christ, Ozbargain has become a cesspool of edgelords with alternative opinions, as of late. We get it, you don't believe everything the media tells you - Congratulations, you've just gained the ability to think independently like the rest of us.

  • It's very strange Biden is calling the whole world to fight Russia when Russia only involve Ukraine. So who is starting World War 3, Biden or Putin?

    • +1

Not cherry picking did a country invade Ukraine ?

All I can think of is the power of Zuckerberg turned people into brainwashed sheep .

    • this is not a serious comment..

    • russia invaded a sovereign state , ukraine, ukraine didn’t invade russia.

  • +1

    Yay FREE stickers!

  • +11

Grab your free virtual signal sticker so you can say you stand with a country you know nothing about apart from what you’ve been fed who is just as corrupt as Russia.

Negged, not a deal, political, shouldn't be on the website. Offers absolutely nothing of any substance.

  • +3

Can we get some Iranian and Venezuela stickers too? I heard we're best buddies now.

    • +1

Who is invading Iran or Venezuela that needs stickers ?

  • +3

Amazing to watch the coordinated western propaganda machine in full swing
Unfortunately the west has now shown its entire playbook and China will counter all these moves prior to invading Taiwan

For those wanting some unbiased facts, this is a good read

John Richard Pilger is an Australian journalist, writer, scholar, and documentary filmmaker.
    https://twitter.com/johnpilger

    • average russian bot

    • +1

For those wanting some unbiased facts, this is a good read

It may well be a good read, but you are not ever going to get unbiased facts from John Pilger.

  • +2

World has now come to 2 legged bad 4 legged good

  • +8

These political virtue signalling deals do not belong here and will be negged

    • -5

Invading another country is not ‘politics’

      • +1

        Educate yourself

      • Lol that's literally what it is, or is that only when the USA do it ?

        • +3

When USA does it it is liberating, when anyone else does it it is invading. If you don't know this then watch MSM.

  • +3

These are great for sealing garbage bags. Thanks

  • +1

Thank you. I needed to know what to support next now that covid front line workers are not cool anymore.

  • +8

More political virtue signalling. 99% of people don't even know the first thing about this war.

"I stand with Ukraine because corpoate media said Russian man bad!"

    • +3

99% of ppl know who invaded who.

      • +1

Invade / liberate, 2 sides of the same coin. Depends upon which side you are viewing from.

        • So which side are you viewing from?

        • +2

          There isn’t an equivalency.

Unless you are suggesting Ukraine was killing ppl on the scale that Russia is in Ukraine.

… which plainly is a nonsense regardless of where you get your ‘news’ from and regardless of where you are viewing it from.

  • +6

Where is free stickers and posters for Stand with Yemen at this very point in time? people are suffering right now there. oh. post war such as afghan, iraq, palestine, syria, vietnam etc etc. more of these war crimes sticker and posters should be post up and be remembered.. I am all in for those free deals as well and share the sorrow and tragedy caused by the " INVASION, Invaders "

    • +4

So when you see a awesome Switch Deal posted do you neg it because the vendor doesn't also have a awesome Xbox deal?

I find it a strange train of thought to neg a deal based on the fact there isn't also other freebies u call for.

      • Yes, it’s small w whataboutism.

  • +2

I would have a one says we stand with Putin.

  • +1

    Those are big posters. A2.

  • +2

    @TanedaR
Excuse me, did you know mh17?
Did you know there were 27 Australian onboard?

But still no one explain why civilian airplane was redirected to fly over warzone. It is was zone where practically every days Ukraine's military airplanes was attacked from Donbass territory to fight their airstrike. In same periods there was destroyed two Ukraine's military airplanes.
This is not first accident with shotdown civilian airplane.
On October 4, 2001, a Tu-154 of Russian Siberia Airlines was shot down over the Black Sea, flying along the Tel Aviv-Novosibirsk route. All 78 people on board were killed. The plane was hit by a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile from the S-200V complex, fired during Ukrainian exercises held in Crimea.
From the very beginning, the Ukrainian authorities refused to admit their guilt, insisting that the fact that the aircraft was hit by a missile does not in itself prove the guilt of their military.
However, later the Ukrainian government transferred $7.8 million to pay the relatives of the dead Russian passengers. The relatives of the Israeli passengers were also paid $7.5 million.
The then President of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, admitted the guilt of Ukraine, however, in a very strange way:
"Are we the first or the last? There is no need to make a tragedy out of this, since some kind of mistake has already happened. Mistakes happen everywhere, and not only on this scale, on a much larger scale - planetary," he said, answering journalists' questions.

  • +1

These stickers will make 0% difference to the war and will make a 100% impact to the environment.

    • +2

There's a chance for 1000% uplift in somebody's mood and morale.

Not to mention 100% showing which side you should be. Because some people are confused AF.

      • +1

So someone just gets to decide for others which side they should be on? People can't decide for themselves? How very dictatorial of you.

        • You can be after any Hitler or Putin you want.

But must be awkward for you living in a relatively well functioning western society.

  • Nice. Gonna get my virtue signal on. Thanks OP. Are there also any stickers for the stand against Kony and climate change?

    • +2

Thought that rouble went down enough to stop such comments, so this must be pure dickheadness.

      • I just need something to accompany my aging I stand against Kony display photo .. no need to be hurtful.

        • +1

Is it pronounced rubble or rouble? I guess it's a distinction without a difference these days

          • +1

@Chocobros: Yup, Putin's been working hard over 22 years so 30 rubbles for 1 USD in 2000 would go up to 130 roubles in 2022.

            • +1

@pizzaguy: At least he will have the legacy he dreamed of though. Master of rubble

    • +1

"Virtue signal". Back in the early 90's this was called a value statement, generally espoused by fired-up university students with little to lose. Has anything changed?

    • +3

Another example use off the latest trending buzzword: "virtue signalling".

If only that it was around back in primary school, I would've been the debating champion. It's nearly as good as "I know you are you said you are."

  • +2

    Unfortunately no russian warship stickers.

  • +2

You guys really think stickers are going to make a difference? No one wants to admit it but the only way to end this tragedy is with an ice bucket challenge. Just do it, film it, post it on social media and this whole thing will be over
