great fan for cooling and quietness. Not good for low profile ram and small cases. Also a pain to set up.
While not unheard of, small cases and low profile ram needs are uncommon in threadripper land.
This is a really really good cooler. It's quiet and provides excellent cooling.
As mentioned above however, it is very big. Check your case clearances. And RAM clearance. And M2 clearance.
It is also very fiddly to install.
If it suits your case and you are competent to install it, it is an excellent cooler that will perform very very well.
I've got a Shadow Rock TF2 in my case, very effective and very quiet for what is a fairly low profile cooler. Only got it on a Ryzen 3600 mind you, but it's still pretty great.
The regular (not TR4) is also cheap at umart in some locations. All of QLD for example.
I got the dark rock 4 (not pro), arcticlean 60ml set and a card reader for $71 with klarna as the dark rock was only $81. I came here to post it but i got the last one at that price. Other stores were $95 for the DR4 (excluding klarna discount)
