Apologies if I’ve missed something here but when did a 3050Ti become a crap card? Don’t get me wrong it should ideally be a 3060 for this price, but It’s still a reasonable 1080p product is it not? RDNA 2 iGPU is fantastic for what it is but aren’t we exaggerating it’s worth and downplaying the 3050?

I think the better question might be if it is an under powered version in the laptop; they really should properly distinguish this difference. The under powered versions will save on battery, but you'll lose out on performance, at least potentially.

  • Merged from MEDION Erazer Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Outemu Brown Switch $39.99 (Was $59.99) + Delivery + 0.5% Surcharge @ ALDI Online

I was on the lookout for a cheapish keyboard and saw this. No idea if it's good but for the price I took the plunge.

Delivery to me (western Sydney) was $6.99, there is also a .5% surcharge on VISA and Mastercard (I don't think they offer other methods of payment).

    Some details copied from site:

    • Aluminium alloy top cover with double injection keycaps
    • Full size 104 key layout
    • 100% anti-ghosting keys
    • Outemu brown switches
    • RGB LED backlight
    • Detachable palm rest
    • Braided 2m USB cable

      This is surely not hotswappable?

unless you mean "hot" as in a soldering iron, I would say no :P

      • Yeah outemus aren't I believe. My cheapo Kogan one with browns aren't hot swappable and often have to get cleaned (WASD because unreliable)

    • Better quality than the Kmart $39 one for sure but not sure how they compare to the kogan ones

      • kmart and kogan ones would be about the same for quality (kogan currently has free shipping on a lot of their products, including keyboards if anyone was after one)

        • Plus they are really cheap $21-24 and $14 for the tkl non-full RGB flavour.

    • Oh well.

Good luck finding some ALDI special buys in stock at your local store, it's hit and miss.
Anyone who wants a different brown-switched, RGB mechanical keyboard (and is happy with TKL / ten key-less), I cannot rate this other keyboard highly enough. Low profile is much better for gaming than full height, and with a foam wrist rest it is quite ergonomic. I picked it up on one of the many sales this time last year and it's worked for 12 months

      • This Phantom L looks interesting to me. It says 'hot swappable' in the specifications. Just confirming, does that mean I can swap those Outemu Brown Mechanical Switches to different ones when I want to?

        • From what I know you can only swap Outemu Low profile keys with other low profile keys, and possibly Outemu branded low profile ones. I don't have it with me so I can't check.
But I can confirm that it includes a key pulling tool and some spare brown low profile mechanisms in case anything stops working correctly.

    • will go nicely with the monitor
