lol 12kgs!! i've got a 48cc kawasaki at 7kg and it's heavy as. 12kgs is going to kill your back, even with a harness. you certainly wouldn't want this for your suburban back yard.

    • Might mean the delivery weight….

      from http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/mtm-62cc-6-1-multi-purpose-b…

      Total Box Content Weight: 15kgs

unless you've got a need for some heavy duty slashing you'd be much better off with something smaller and a lot lighter

as for attachments, i've got a whole set but i only use a slashing attachment occasionally for a property with long grass. if you want to cut branches just use a chainsaw.

Honestly mate, hit the gym. 12kg is not that heavy.

      • it is after you've been using it for a hour or two. unless you have tried a heavy brushcutter on your back i don't think you should be commenting. as i said i've got a top of the line kawasaki that weighs 7.9kg and it is way too heavy for normal household use. i just use a crappy 10 year old ryobi grass scorpion for that because it is light and does the job.

one that you can hold in your hands without a harness is much more appropriate for trimming the edges. 26cc @ 4kg vs 62cc @ 12kg. 62cc is just complete overkill for domestic use.

  • This is cheap
Paid 299 for something similar with bigger motor
    Not for everyday use
And if you have never used them before think again if you really need them
Mine was an impulse buy used it once or twice
They oil in chain saw is designed to leak all the time and can be messy if you a clean
    Garage
Bit risky to use and store around kids

    • They oil in chain saw is designed to leak all the time

Bar oil is to keep the chain lubricated……… but this is not a chain saw

AGR Machinery have alot of bad feedback on different forums, including a long thread on Whirlpool. I would tread carefully!

  • No sure what it is they're calling a hedge trimmer :(
It would be possible using those accessories but bloody slow and good luck getting a straight line.

    AGR Machinery = STAY AWAY.

Irrespective of the price, there are FAR FAR better sellers out there.

This is NOT a vendor you want to deal with, people!

    FEEDBACK >> http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&u…

And note how all feedback is Private and the reply comments all say stuff liek "good customer, working with us…" - it's a load of bollocks!

They are notorious, one of the worst gadget sellers on eBay!

  • "backed up by an extensive 1 year warranty" hahahahaha. 1 year is standard. I made the mistake of buying a crappy Chinese Ryobi. Big mistake, lasted just over a year. My new Japanese Shindaiwa has a 5 year domestic warranty! My point being you get what you pay for. It is unlikely you would use most attachments unless you had a significant property. Best to buy less and get quality I reckon - even at this price.

Stay away from generic motors, they will fail in a year or so and do not last at all.

Quality motors are usually made in Japan and have Walbro carburetors.

This would only be a bargain if it were $50, buy another if it failed.

I'd imagine something like this would only be good for a small area, engines of this quality should not stay on for longer than 15 minutes.

  • anyone can comment on this item please.

i'm thinkin of getting a whipper snipper to mow the grass only

    • Get a lawn mower.

  • I had a play with one like this, it was more like a toy than a tool. It spat the dummy when the recoil starter string would not retract.
Get yourself a real tool and you won't regret it.
