    How do I keep HODLing

    • +5

I have been thinking about buying for the past week but every day there's a new deal haha.

  • +6

This has to be the lowest price yet.

  • +5

For this price, don't wait 40xx. Get it now and you won't regret.

  • +3

I'd buy this right now if i didnt already have a gpu

    • Same I have a 3070 vision atm but want to put it in my white Nr200p vr build to replace my 1080ti. And want a new gpu for my new build want to wait for 40 series. I'll not pay more than 1500 for a 4080 🤞

  • This has to be a win price right? Right?… Or should I HODL? :(

    • +1

Bought one and mentally preparing myself for 3080ti to go below $1300 and cry later today.

    • If you want or need it bad enough I'd get it for this price.
They posted this card for sale today after taking a few other cards down that I had my eye on, so I dont even know if they meant to list this

  • +1

I hate to bring up grown up stuff, but I'd be all over this if it wasn't Afterpay. Apparently it hurts loan applications.

    • Agreed.

    • It hurts vendors too.

I mean I guess I'd rather hurt the vendor (afterpay) than hurt people already struggling (those that pay interest on a cc). I guess? I mean I'd probably just hurt neither and pay for it outright…

    • From my experience it doesnt hurt applications. I use After pay all the time and recenlty got approved for a 1.5 million loan.

      • Same here, have been using Afterpay for years (always paid on time or paid off early etc) & it wasn't mentioned at all in my home loan applications, I just had to declare that I had an account. When I signed up for Afterpay they didn't even run a credit enquiry on me now that I think about it.

It would basically just be viewed as a credit card by the bank anyway, given the limit is only $1500 (on most accounts), they would view this as fairly low risk debt unless the applicant has a history of defaulting etc, in which case they probably wouldn't loan to them in the first place.

        • I have afterpay and latitudepay and recently refinanced. I had a payment on my statement for under $10 to latitudepay and they questioned that, but not a single question about afterpay. I’m assuming maybe because it looked like a fee or interest?

Just gave them details of the order and the loan went through fine.

  • Does rev 2.0 have thermal pad issues?

    • depends on the brand/model. nothing to do with lhr / non-lhr (rev 2)

I need this to go out of stock immediately so I am not tempted…

    • +3

Me too…and I posted the deal… fighting the urge to make the unnecessary upgrade from 2080 super to 3080

      • +1

For me it'd be 3070Ti to 3080…even more pointless, but i play at 4k and the 3070ti just misses the mark by that much…

        • +1

If you have the 3070ti, hold off. the 40XX series cards should be less price spiked (if at all) thanks to them basically f'ing crypto miners off so that'll make a better 4k upgrade for the money

      • +1

Wow that really is unnecessary haha. I'd be going from a 1080 and I'm still fighting the urge.
        2 left….

        • +2

If you've got something that does enough or close enough to what you want, hodl'ing till the 40XX cards is the best move :) You wont miss much.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: True. And thankfully it's out of stock!

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Yep but this is what happens when you think with your heart not your brain! Thankfully out of stock now so i don't have to worry about it :)

        • +1

Finally it's out of stock! Back to work now..

      • I'm HODLing strong with my 980 brothers.
Partly by choice, partly because its out of stock.

I tell myself I don't need to upgrade because I can play 1440p at 100fps+ on some games if i just bottom out every setting XD

    • Me too. I don't even use much now days and 5700 XT is working fine. Please go out of stock

  • +3

How do I mark it as sold out?

  • Grab one, thanks op!

  • Dam I would have snagged one of those sexy white ones for my build

  • good to see GPUs $ is going back to normal

  • I don't know wtf this lhr/non-lhr stuff is

LHR = poor crypto mining hash rate which makes them undesirable to miners so theoretically should be cheaper

  • +2

Just bought one, looks like scorptec added 10 more.

    • What have you done

Now I have to go through another excruciatingly painful process for the next 20-30 minutes.

Edit: Oh it's out of stock again

    • Oh man I missed out again!

  • -1

Tempted but i refuse to sign up to after pay

  • Dammm too slow!

Is this also a decent buy at approx $1275 or keep holding?

    Don’t support After Pay

They are middleman we don’t need

Once they become big enough it will be pain in the ass for us.

    • Once it big enough just pay by card or cash

  • Anyone got this item delivered by now?
Mine is still in Post office since 18 March. Est is 28 March ;)

    • Aus post has been slow due to catching up on the backlog of stuff for the flood effected areas.
