VRR implemented in a new update and works well. It disables local dimming when active but the TV handles that better than the older x9000h I've got the 65 and love it, excellent TV for the price point. Proper 4k 120hz with the xbox as well. Some TVs do a dodgy resolution drop and are not true 4k

I added this to the back, works brilliantly

    • Where did you buy the govee backlights from, they won't directly ship to aus?

        Amazon does them,

Is the 65" for $1895 a good deal? I have no idea about TVs

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/125055135747?_trkparms=amclksrc%…

    • I tested to see if you could checkout… it says the item must be less than $2k so you can't apply this coupon. I was gonna be spewing. Paid 2300$ in December for the 65. $1900 would be insane value for that.

      • i got it for 1700 on blackfriday with those home gift cards that were 15% off, defs a great size and quality

      • I could be wrong but I think the 2k only applies to the After pay proportion, so you could pay with giftcard the $195 and then afterpay the remaining amount of 2k which would enable you to use the 15% off code

      • Yeah but I just tried as well, Starts at $2195…. Payment option Afterpay states "Your order must be less than AUD 2000" but I scrolled down and entered the promo code "AFPYDY" which took $300 off, bringing the price down to $1895.

Price is now under $2000 and back up in the Payment section, Afterpay is now available with "4 Payments of AU 473.75"

Unless the payment is declined after this step??? But seems to work!

        • Yeah $1895 if you can Click & Collect

    • I had my eye on the 65" version for a while and it retails for $2495 and sold out at amazon recently when it dipped to $2295.

So I would say $1895 is a great deal. I would have bought it at this price but I ultimately picked up the 65" Samsung QN90A as I could get it for under $2000.

      • How can you get qn90a for under $2k ?

      • Where did you get Samsung QN90A for under $2K? I am interested in buying that TV.

        • You will need to know someone who works for Samsung Corporate. It's not a publicly available price.

          • @syx: Ok thanks, it means that for majority of the people it won’t be applicable.

  • Excellent TV, great color, contrast, viewing angles, Google TV, 120Hz with VRR, just keep in mind AMD freesync does not work with VRR.

I have the 75" and agree that it's a great TV, except that the viewing angles aren't great. It's a VA panel, so that's expected. That's exactly what this TV did not score well in on RTings.com.

  • Will this TV be good for the PS5?

    • Using it with my PS5 and can confirm, it's great. Haven't experienced the 120 Hz refresh rate though.

      • How do you find the sound on this TV? Need a sound bar?

        • I've always used a soundbar.

  • +1

If I don’t play games is q60a good enough?

  • For anybody still interested in this, I asked Sony to do a price match, they refused, but alerted me to a Costco price of $1939, which they then matched. Combine that with 5% cashback via Shopback and you get it down to $1851 delivered. Nice!

  • Can anyone who has this model comment on reflection issues in a bright room?

    • Also keen to know this.

  • For anyone keen on a gamble, $1336 on the Sony seconds store with the PLSMAR7 code
