GRANDMASTER12

TuneUp is a program that finds media information for your songs in iTunes and WMP. I have used the trial and it has generally done a pretty good job at finding information for my library. I'd say it's easily the best software of its type. The sale is 40% of all TuneUp Media products, and you can buy an annual subscription or lifetime.

Annual:
Bundle $23.97
Clean $11.97
Cover art $11.97
D-Duper $11.97

Lifetime:
Bundle $29.97
Clean $17.97
Cover art $17.97
D-Duper $17.97

The sale is 24 hours only and ends on the 29th of April at 11:59PT (4am 30/4/12 morning our time)

  • Fail I just bought this 2 days ago

  • i'm pretty sure itunes and WMP do this automaticly for free.

  • If that were the case every track would have art and correct meta data, there are a few open source apps that can do the same thing, but this has seamless iTunes integration

    • like what open source apps?

      • Like http://www.mp3tag.de/en/, for instance.

iTunes and WMP also connect to a range of online databases of recorded music, to compare your tracks' digital signatures to known tracks. You can opt for our music player to automatically update your tracks, or you can do it manually either with software per my link or through Windows Explorer.

My personal preference is to maintain my tracks myself. This is because in some cases you rely on an individual's track details that they've entered into the various music title databases, and a lot of individuals get things very wrong (I had some albums with the track names moved one place down the list, for instance - so what I was playing showed up with the name of the next song on the album rather than its own details).

If you have fairly common musical tastes, iTunes or WMP should have no trouble correctly labelling your music. You may need to update your settings for this, though.
