  • Really good microwave. Bought one a month ago. Can confirm Frozen snacks are crispy.
Only thing is the crisping pan always slide out of position when turning. You can put a plate underneath to stabilise it

    • wait you can cook from frozen to cooked in this microwave only? nah i can't believe that would it not just be really soggy and chewy and not cooked

      • I often cook frozen oven food (fish fillet, hashbrown) and they turn out great, crispy and not soggy.
overnight Pizza is acceptable, the top is nice but the bottom gets chewy. Ive had better luck with sandwich press.

        • Interesting I see so does it microwave and use a heated metal element or just the microwave.

Basically how does it work is it like a mini toaster oven but microwave at the same time? Wouldn't the metal get in the way.

Or is it an air fryer and microwave all in one.

          I'm confused sorry.

          • @AlienC: I believe there is a grill on the roof of the inside so it uses a combination of the grill, microwave, and the crisper pan to make food crispy.

            • @Dentom: I wonder how they are able to get microwave working while metal is in the cage it must avoid it somehow and focus just on what's on the turntables.

  • The fan tends to run on a bit. But the controls are super easy to use.
    I'm vHappy with it.

The fans run because a long time ago when Panasonic first made inverter microwaves, the inverter MOSFETs (or Transistors?) cooked from 'soak back' when the unit stopped and the chips were not kept cooled. We replaced heaps of inverter boards at the service centre I used to work at. In the next models, they started to run the fan for some time after the unit stopped to keep the cooling on those chips and stop them blowing from being overheated.

  • Got one in the last deal and so far very happy with it. Good guys did take some time in arranging it as it was not readily in stock but they were upfront about it if we want to wait and we did.

  • bummer, I got the last deal, this would have been even better !

I also dont like the 30s fan after it ends, is there a way to turn it off anyone found out?

buy this deal and return it to the to the previous one

    • dont like the 30s fan after it ends

Does it run only when the grill element's been used or after straight microwaving as well?

I used to have a micro/convection combo that did this to draw heat away from the grill element. If you switched it off at the plug the top of the unit got stupidly hot. Reckon it'd compromise longevity to not allow it to cool as it's designed to do.

      • After MW as well.

        • Wow thanks! I hate appliance noises! I am yet to pickup from the previous $197 deal, I’ll just return it- and not bother about this cheaper deal, I’ll stick to my current microwave without all the bells And whistles
