Terrible at eth mining, but almost or sometime beat 3080 Ti on gaming.

cheapest 3080ti to pop up today was 1700, cheapest 3080 to pop up was 1150. night and day difference in price. I would not bother spending extra 550$ for the Ti.

Called up scorptec and they said they will be putting more stock availability of the 3080 soon. Got myself a 3060 ti vision for 674 for my movies pc. And a 3080 oc for my gaming pc for 1184
the 12g version almost matches the 3080ti. Whether thats worth the extra $200 is up to the individual.
But isn't the gpu in question the rtx 3080? And not the ti variant. That's what this post says
this is the 12gig variant. Not the 10gig.
@TechnoHC: Its new. And it got a slight spec upgrade too which is why it matches the Ti in some cases.

its in par with EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte, top tier brand.
But Ventus is the lower tier within MSI, compared to Gaming X/Z or Suprim.
Probably should remove Gigabyte from that list.

Gigabyte Gaming OC GPUs have been receiving good review. Not sure about the Eagle GPUs though.
@edfoo: And so did all Aorus (elite, master, extreme). Eagle is something like a last resort rather than integrated graphics lol.

Got offered the 10Gb ventus for 1250 instead. Not exactly thrilled, I opted for refund as the didn't want to replace it with any other brands.
the 1150$ 10GB one was an absolute bargain if you don't need the extra 2GB at the rate of $100/GB. But I think that one just sold out.
