This is same exact specs as the Gaming OC edition, they only differ in cosmetics.
These sell like hot cakes, 1 vendor sold 107 of the Gaming OC.

    • Yep.
      https://www.gigabyte.com/Comparison/Result/3?pids=7925,7939

Might be a LED on the OC one.. woohoo!

Note the Eagle one is bit different

      • But this Vision has no warranty…

        • Hhhmmm.

Actually your somewhat correct. The OC might have an extended manufacturers warranty. Its states 4 years. Cant see that on the vision one, which might be a more standard 3 years.

          • +1

@tm32: I was just kidding. The table didn't list warranty registration for the VIsion XD

My Alerts are going wild today lol

    I am on ozgpu.

    • lol

  • +6

tempting! must HODL for the new series.

    • +2

Yes, we waited this long, might as well wait for the 4060 or 4070 for the same price.

      • +13

So probably 2 years afte they are released ? lol

        • +1

I have to buy a whole new rig anyway so might as well wait for half a year and then 'attempt' to buy it. This will just sit in the shelf if I pull the trigger now.

          • +1

@toxicat: oh that's definitely a good idea, but we might look back at this sale and go crap wish i got it then haha … these days nothing will surprise me :)

      • +2

the 4000 series definitely won't be priced at msrp, or anywhere close to $950. I predict it will be $1400 for the 4070.

        • Yep I can see that being the case

    • Yep, I'm waiting.

Just got a PS5 so have some games to get through

  • -1

Does this one have a zero RPM mode?

    • +4

I have a 2070 Super with Zero RPM mode until it hits 60°C, the card sits at 55°C idle waiting to be used.

But past couple of years I have used a custom fan curve to turn this feature off basically, making it run at 40% fan speed when idle. It always idles now below 40°C, a 15°C drop from zero RPM mode and zero difference in the noise because at 40% the fan speed, the case fans are still similar volume.

      • Some manufacturers have it some don't. I had a GPU a couple years ago that didn't and those fans would spin while web browsing. Never again.

        • +1

You can use a custom fan-curve with MSI Afterburner to lower the speed at idle.

          • @ThatsCheap: I am aware, but if the GPU itself doesn't support 0RPM mode I can only slow the fan, not turn it off.

            • +1

@Diminuendo: read the spec sheet on gigabyte's website

    • Pretty sure it does, it has silent mode but the temps will be higher at idle.

      • Under-volt is your friend. Lower temps, lower power, higher fps than vanilla

RIP people who just paid $1329 2 weeks ago- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/686607

    • Given it's Amazon you'd either ask for a refund of the difference, or send it back for a full refund

      • +1

Cite buyer's remorse then point Amazon to this thread.

      • Amazon does not price match, especially with different seller and platform. you need to come up with an 'excuse' to return it for full refund.

        • +1

If it was 2 weeks ago, can't you just say that it's not what you were expecting or some such? My experience with Amazon returns was I just gave some very generic reason in a form, printed a label and sent it back within the first month, no questions asked

          • +2

@TimR31: yes, come up with an excuse, but don't say price match, its not in their policy to do so.

            • @[Deactivated]: I have heard of them refunding the difference if a price drops, but only if you originally bought from them and they drop their own price in their return period (saves them having to pay for a return and resend)

    • Bet it stings like a bitch.

    • Real ozbargain enthusiast don't venture online without some form of price protection :-)

You mean guns and body armour?

        • t-51b power armor.

  • This or the 3060 TI for $705? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/689000

    • I went for the 3060 ti (in this type) because it's exactly 2 slots.
If you have an matx motherboard and want to use another slot in future the 3060 ti might be sufficient.

    • This

    • Actually already bought the 3060 TI but then this popped up. I dont game that often/not always playing AAA games and thought 3060TI is a decent card that will last quite a few years.

    • -2

that, 3070 Ti is close perform as 3080, will last longer till next upgrade.

3060 ti is just not there yet for full 60fps 2k gaming. you're bound to upgrade next year from 3060 ti.

      • +6

No the 3070Ti is not close to 3080 perf, far from, it is closer to a 3070.

  • Is there a way to purchase with a new afterpay account? I might pick one up but on checkout, as my afterpay is a new account. It won't let me puchase as I am limited to a $600 spend. Don't see any way to ad a debit card to my account?

    • +1

Pay the difference using eBay GC

      • Thanks. This wouldn't interfere with the afterpay coupon would it? Seems like it shouldn't

        • +2

No. Minimum of $50 towards Afterpay to use the coupon.
I put $1000gc on this and paid rest of AFP

      • +1

Thanks for the help. All sorted, decided to go with the 3060TI for now on the way. Looking forward to a fresh gaming experience after slugging away on my gtx 970 :)

  • So tempting. Will be a worthy upgrade to my 1070

    • +6

      I bought 3080 today. Upgrading from 1070

    • Yes I'm in the same boat, the 1070's served well and is a reminder of sane gpu prices. Just debating whether to go with this or hang on for a 3080 drop.

      • +1

Personally I don't think you're going to see much more movement due to 3 manufacturers dropping price by 25%, most stock is all gone now so you either buy now and do what you need to, or wait longer with the possibility of getting more in the future, at the same $ but no 15% discount.
So you need that new shipment to come in @ higher than 15% or same which in effect would have been a 40% reduction.
I doubt this will happen so you gotta take the chance whilst you can.
I think this was a once off, I don't really expect much more movement specifically how most stock is all but gone now.

  • White components look great with RGB lights

  • OOS in 60 sec! crazy deal.

  • Restock of the OC so with code is $934.15

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/325105352777

    • +1

      thanks mate snagged one!

      • It was in and out of stock. So it pays to keep checking as they seem to be dumping as much stock as they can.

        • +1

They're not dumping stock, they have just managed to get stock for once and the demand is met with supply ergo why we see it disappear so quickly.
The cut of 25% from ASUS could have had the ball rolling but I assure you that US market is paying as much if not more than the Australian market.
We should just be grateful that we have what we have in the world in crisis atm.

    • Nice.
      $10 cheaper as well?

  • This or 3060ti?

    • This. Last one left
