You are lucky they don’t post. I had the the previous True Steam Model and it worked well for 5 years. The racks peeled and then rusted, at two years old, blocking the inside of the machine. The replacement rack costs $400 plus, which they insist you buy when you ring in for service because it happens after your out of warranty. This is a know issue with steam models.
I would get an extended warranty if you are going to proceed. We bought the Bosch 8 series and it works a dream. Cost more, but I don’t think I will have the same issues.

I don't have this dishwasher. But my Miele pops the door open after the cycle finishes. Best thing ever!

It was more than I wanted to spend at the time, but considering we use it every day (and will do for the next 10 years), it's worth it. Plus it came with 10 years warranty.

That’s an expensive dishwasher from LG!
Fwiw, free-standing means it has a finish on all sides, so at a rental it's suited, or places that don't have a cabinet/bench to put it under.
From what I could find the under bench ones for lg seem more expensive!
There is no way I will be spending over $1k on a LG dishwasher. Look for an entry model from Miele or Bosch.
Buy the non stream one, for some reason the stream one have poor reliability, the non steam one is $1000 in the good guys commercial
