100

so was just window shopping and noticed this price, called OW and price matched over phone for free delivery ( $257.82 )
not the cheapest compared to Telstra deal, but a decent price.
I wouldn't buy it from PB tech personally, but if u can price match with officeworks like me, then its a deal.

  • Can ow pricematch a product sold on non-.com.au website?

    • I just did, the guy over the phone thanked me for the tip as he was looking for the same item too :)

      • Thanks

  • Im looking at replacing my current 'new house' shitty video doorbell system. The wiring is there but the system is terrible and can't see anything on the screen from glare.
I was looking at the Amazon doorbell the other day for 89 and replacing my current screen with a small Amazon screen for 120, but all my other devices are google.
This seems a bit more expensive but still an option.

    • do it, and if you have existing wiring it makes the nest doorbell experience even better.

      • The Amazon or Googel?

    • My thoughts too. I have an old video intercom, pulled it off the wall and has 4 thin wires.

Looking for a replacement that is up to date.

Have you found any other video doorbell systems?

      • The one i have is a camera at the front door and then a screen inside. I'm looking for something similar in a decent but cheap option, such as Google or Amazon. At this stage I haven't found anything else, i don't really know enough about them these days to know what is available or the functionality.

  • You are lucky. That price beat should not have happened since they are based in NZ

  • Just an FYI. The battery life on this is shocking. 4-5 weeks. Regret replacing my Eufy Doorbell with it. Benefits are that android notifications show a small gif of the event and that it announces who is at the door (think this may be part of paid subscription).

Same issue with the Nest Cams. Battery is shocking and solar panels aren't available.
