Saw lots of comments about possible broken controllers in the recent Street Fighter deal. Maybe this can help. Sorry, I don't know much about this stick but the price looks pretty good when I googled it. Best price on the camels too. Sold and shipped by Amazon AU.

  • let the hori vs sanwa arguments commence!

  • Xinput, so will it work on xbox aswell?

    • +2

It won't work. The encryption on Xbox controllers has not been broken. Xinput is the default control input for Windows.

      • Man, is this why I can't find anything to work with xbox? Been wanting something to work with 360 and One S

        • Pretty much.

It gets worse, as the encryption changed from the Xbox 360 to Xbox One era of controllers - hence the 'need' to purchase separate controllers for each.

@silverrat23: Except that it's a none-issue because there are plenty of third party sticks for both XBox 360 and XBox One - like this one https://www.amazon.com.au/Elite-Arcade-Stick-Android-Switch/… - and there are also convertors available like this one https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/01469788/ to enable use of your XBox 360 sticks on your XBox One. I use this with a third-party Qanba Xbox 360 stick, and it works just fine on my Series X.

            • @Nom: That is an interesting solution, using the official Xbox 360/One controller to establish a connection between the console and other controller.

Shame they're fairly expensive (IMO), but worth it for good sticks like yours.

@silverrat23: I think I paid $40 for the Brook convertor back in the day - wayyyyyy cheaper than a new stick 😁

                • @Nom: Brook converters are great

The Switch would be the worst console to get a fight stick for.

    • What's the best console to get a fight stick for?

    • Depends what games you play. The Switch has an insane shmup library, but fighting games, not so much.

    • Inclined to agree, that's why I got a Brooks adapter rather than a new stick

  • I just bought the game for $15, this’d go nicely but don’t think I can justify the price for me. Wish I could though.

Yeah, I get you. Spent so much lately on games. Digital games aren't obvious though. Not sure if I can hide this from the wife…

      • +1

Agreed. A lot easier to buy games online but getting this delivered will result in my wife pointing at me and laughing, Nelson Muntz style.

        • +1

I can justify some of my purchases lately. It's all for charity!!

This thing, not only would I have to get it past the wife, I'd have to build an extension just to store it somewhere. My room is already super cluttered with dust magnets including a driving wheel/cockpit setup with TV. I reckon I'd use this once or twice then get sick of having to dig it out just to rage quit a few minutes later. I'm so rubbish at fighting games. :(

  • Is this a good option as it has sanwa buttons? https://www.amazon.com.au/Elite-Arcade-Stick-Android-Switch/…

    • From my research the mayflash sticks are well regarded and it's cheaper to get them with the sanwa buttons already in, so should be OK. I know nothing about switch compatibility tho

    • The hori buttons and joystick are great.
If this is your first stick don't get caught up in the Danes is better business. Of you want to try sanwa layer they are plug n play with this stick

      • Nb, this is a much better stick than a mayflash

        • Source, guy that owns 25+ fightsticks

  • Any good for MS FS?
