Giantz 5 Drawer Tool Box Cabinet Trolley (Black/Grey) $142.95 Delivered @ Ozplaza eBay

250
SNSAVEA

I bought the black one for ~250 which is still selling at the same price. Just noticed there has been a huge price drop in the other colours. At this price, I think it's a bargain.

  • Have you got the black one yet? Any thoughts?

Yeah I'm using it now. Very easy to assemble, took about 5 minutes including taking everything out the box.

Quality wise, I wish it was a bit sturdier but I would say it's on par with all the ones I've seen in Bunnings. I haven't really owned or used any other brand so can't make a comparison.

Make sure you check the dimension, it's not very big, it's OK for me as I don't own a lot of tools. if you want to be future proof though, you might want to get something bigger. I'm seriously contemplating if I should get a second one.

  • Anyone got a review?

I own both this and the ToolPro Edge version from Supercheap that was over $400 on sale. There is a quality difference but nothing that would stop me buying this one. The draws feel a little more solid when fully loaded and the draw liners are noticeably thicker on the ToolPro version. The wheels are also a bit on the crap side on the Giantz one but as long as your are not drifting it around the garage, I see no issue.

Would recommend this version, especially for the price!

    • Do all the castors turn on the Giantz as the ToolPro one is a pain to move with just two that turn?

      • +1

I just checked mine, yes all four castors can turn.

Cheers mate, glack and grey here I come!

      • Sorry, was not home to check until now. Same as Citybargainhunter said, all wheels turn unlike the ToolPro that steers like a woolies trolley from the 90's

    • Was the toolpro one bigger? This one seeks small at only 60cm wide, most of these that I see in the wild are 90cm wide I reckon

      • The one I have is bigger but not by a lot, 72cm wide and around 15cm taller but 5cm of that would be the larger wheels

  • what is the assembly of this like? painful?

    • Easy as. If I can do it, anyone can lol.

    • Comes assembled, just have to screw on the wheels and handle

    Bought the glack gray one.

That colour combo does look a bit glack though.

Was looking at these to make into an outdoor kitchen, buy two and place a bench top over the top.

  • There are a few other variations available too…

    • Does anyone know whether the last drawer is a functioning drawer for the 7 drawers and chest trolley?

  • Any 36" (91cm) Trolleys available??

The problem here is the courier company they use.
    Aramex/ Fastway.

    • whats the problem?

      • +5

They suck big time, don't come to your house when you are home and then send you a message saying no one was there, and then tell you to go to some random newsagent in the next suburb to pick up your stuff, and half the time it's either closed or they haven't dropped it off there yet. Then forget about customer service, you call to complain and you wish you didn't bother

        • +2

That only happens with around 50% of my Aramex parcels… :'(

  • Any other brands worth looking at? Happy to pay a bit more but nothing crazy

  • Bunnings Mentone had Sidchrome $500.00 chests @ $350.00 - seems an end of line thing so may be at other stores.

Aramex - my local franchise guy is excellent but head office logistics and transfer is a bomb.

This might suit some people better. Id assume similar quality. They have a similar looking model on ozplaza ebay

  • i had a look at bunnings for ones that are similar in size and these are tiny!
any recommendations for something 85cm tall or higher?
