      It depends on a number of factors.

      If you have a Coles Groceries & Returns gift card, the answer is a firm no. (I mention this, because Prezzee once accidentally restocked their Coles gift card page with Coles Groceries & Returns gift cards.)

      If you have any other type of Coles gift card:

      • If you go to a self-serviced checkout, you may find that an error message comes up as soon as you press Gift Card on the payment screen, even if you purchase at least one grocery item in the transaction with the gift card. This happens at my local Coles stores, but apparently it doesn’t happen at some other Coles stores.

      • If you go to a serviced checkout (the one where a staff member packs your groceries for you or the service desk where the tobacco is sold and return transactions are handled), it depends on whether the staff member will let you do this. There is nothing in the system to stop the staff member from selecting Gift Card as a payment method, but I have found some staff have been trained to deny any request to use a Gift Card as a payment method, because it is against the Terms of Use of a Coles gift card to use it to pay for a gift card.

      Btw, if you need to do split payments (e.g. redeem multiple gift cards, redeem a gift card and a bank card), you cannot do it at a self-serviced checkout at Coles. The only exception is if you are using cash and one other payment method.

        I'm not sure if 'split payment' and multiple payment are the same thing, but, at my Coles self service I regularly split my payments across using gift card, FB dollars (EFT) and also bank card payment (EFT).

        Also do this at woolies

          Ahhh, I should have made it clearer that if you're purchasing a gift card and want to do split payments at Coles, you pretty much have to go to a serviced checkout. I havent been able to do split payments when purchasing a gift card at a Coles self-serviced checkout in years. However, Woolworths (and BIG W) allows split payments when you're purchasing a gift card.

          If you're only buying groceries or buying a mobile recharge voucher or a mobile SIM card at a self-serviced checkout at Coles, split payments are permitted.

        So possible then to buy the eBay gift cards at coles umm trying to figure how to do thus if possible, I think Coles eBay gift cards are $50 detonations only prefer the $100 as eBay has a limit of 8x vouchers/gift cards at checkout

        Let's read above again maybe I'll figure it out myself

        Edit: so just to confirm anyone,.. 1,000 BONUS POINTS (= $5 real money) when you buy a $50 or $100 GC, so better off to purchase the $50 domination GC as gives the maximum 10% off

      Its not possible. I once redeemed Prezee for a Coles Gift Card, and tried buying other gift cards with it (It was $500 Coles Gift Card to start with) so was trying to make best use of it- It rejected and coles staff said its not allowed.
