As per the comment there has been cheaper (~$305 a few weeks back via Computer Alliance Ebay) but this is the current cheapest price and in stock.

I'm quite keen to see what their 5600 non-X will sell for in Australia. Want to upgrade a 3600 in a b450 itx rig that I've got.
My non-rendering PC is in the same (chip) boat, and even the 5700X is considerable (with the similar performance to 5800X with a 40W lower tdp). The mobo died over the weekend, and I was apparently dark and broody while deeply contemplating a chip upgrade (and being ozb, with nothing near the afterpay $290 5600X or $790 5950X, the 3600 now sits in a spare refurb mb :P)
Just an FYI even excluding the $280 afterpay deal there has been cheaper.
