I know nothing of these speakers. But they are "Half Price" and according to Camel x3 they are pretty cheap. Not the cheapest but $65 bucks seems alright for something like a small bedroom setup or office setup.

Get yourself a Fosi Amp and throw those crusty old "Gaming speakers" you got from JB Hi Fi for $20 bucks out the window, set them on fire and pray it doesnt spread to your house. And if your house does burn down……..make sure you take you new $65 speakers with you

  • Already bought these for $64.50 in Feb and paired them up with a Fosi Audio BT20A-S and they sound great for the price (85+65=150 AUD) - they can produce surprising amounts of bass. Sound better than $65 speakers, IMO they will not beat proper bookshelves from KEF, SVS, etc.

    • i bought a cheap amp too 100W speakers + 100W sub got a decent sub
What would you reccomend instead of the P17s?

      • +1

I have both Voll P44s and Edifier P17s and I found the P17s to have a very V-shaped sound signature. They are quite sparkly and also a little boomy, whereas the P44s seem to be much more neutral and controlled, with no sparkle or boom to speak of and balanced mids.

I'd go for the P44s for desktop or music use, but the P17s have a lot of clarity with that sparkly high end so they are great as speakers for a bedroom TV and I wouldn't really look any further for that kind of use case. I use the P17s as bedroom TV speakers myself.

thanks bud - exactly what Im looking for.
Bedroom projector connected to Google TV.
Audio is into an aliexpress class D amp 50Wx2 + 100W sub
Love the sub - $99 deal JBL link sub with the built in amp disconnected and powered straight by the Ali amp - Plenty of Bass!
Sound is currently from some really old Sony surround speakers from my parents place. Feel like im missing a lot of movie sound
Video - ok. Sub - ok. Audio - not ok - hopefully the P17 will fix that

      • Depends on your budget - the P17s are good speakers for the price, but if you're willing to spend more than $1000 on new speakers or $500ish on used ones, you should probably do that.

    • Any guide for helping setup?

      • set up what?

        • To connect the Fosi amp, TV and the speakers.

          • @nulled: Does your TV have the analog audio out option? If so you'd just connect the L + R channel out from the TV to the Audio in on the Fosi Amp. Then you just wire the speakers with the wire provided with the P17s to the Amp and then adjust the bass and treble to your liking.

  • Would anyone see them as nice l+r front speakers for a 5.1 surround system?

Currently have 3 built in speakers (1 center / 2 upper rear)
So need front left and right speakers and 1 sub still, don't wanna spend too much for it.

    Have a Denon 7.2 AVR (S760H)

    • They'd probably work quite well as the rear speakers, but if you were on a budget then i'd suppose they could work as fronts.

TBH if I were you i'd spend a bit more and get towers for the fronts and use these as the rears… that is if you don't
t care about 'timbre matching' all of your speakers.

  • I use them as surround speakers, put them on stands behind couch. Perfect with Yamaha AV receiver, use +3 gain setting.

  • great

  • Should I get these speakers with Fosi Audio BT20A-S or R1280Ts Powered Bookshelf Speakers - 2.0 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B087CP5JB2/ref=emc_b_5_t

I currently don't have any speakers. I have only used my Audio Technia ATHM50 Headphone for seven years. Or my monitor's crappy speaker.

  • Sorry if this is a stupid question, I don't know much about speakers but would these work with my ifi Zen Dac V2?

  • Has anyone received theirs yet?
