  • where is the ebay deals?

  • Showing in stock in Milton QLD as well.

  • This or Alienware QD-Oled?

    • Not sure on pricing of the Alienware monitor, but the reviews for the QD-Oled screens have been very impressive

    • Bought both my mrs might leave me

      • And I thought you were a believer…

  • Would this be similar to having 2 x 49 inch ultra wide screens stacked on top of each other?

    • 2x49" stacked would be roughly equivalent to a 54"

Different width in pixels as per the post above. Also this one isn't curved. The closer you are to the screen the more a curved screen makes sense.

      • Yeah, and for office work I think it needs less height and more width. Like 5x 24 inch monitors in portrait with a nice curve.

The only thing that stops me from buying this is that the hdmi 2.1 ports on this monitor are 24gbps only. would rather get the LG C1 or C2 for that little bit of extra futureproofing.

    • Ty for pointing out. What’s the amount of gps on the the higher hdmi 2.1 port shipping f you don’t mind me asking? I should really google this lol.

48gps on the LG C1 and LG CX is 40gps?

C9 has full as well ( 48gps though dosent support Dolby vision :( which is the only reason why im going to upgrade from C9 to C2 when there is a good sale ;)

This dosent have full bandwidth or dolby vision but does have HDR10 etc

Magnificent, Thankyou! Yep I think C2 is gonna be the way to go for me too drool.

@Edamamme: All good and yes can't wait for C2 77" to go for 5900 then will put my Jumanji hat on and hunt it down :D

This is a solid reminder to switch my penny pincher mode to extreme!

                @Edamamme: ha!

Yes will need to save up or pray for a price error and pick it up when the store opens up!

the C1 and C2 have 48gbps from the reports i've seen. 40gbps is required for 4k120 at 10bit 4:4:4, 48gbps is required for 4k120 at 12bit 4:4:4 from the reports i've been reading. I don't think i'll be hitting those framerates anytime soon at those resolutions but its nice to be able to buy a monitor and not have to replace it for years to come.

downside of the C1/C2 vs the gigabyte is the lack of a display port.

        • Yeah it’s significant enough an investment to want to have the capability a couple years down the road. This is good info Thankyou (:. Definitely a good price on the Aorus but I’m definitely holding out now haha

          40gbps is required for 4k120 at 10bit 4:4:4

4k120 at 10bit 4:4:4 is supported with DSC.

Nvidia RTX 2000/3000 series and AMD RX 5000/6000 series GPUs support DSC. I believe the Xbox Series X also supports DSC.

PlayStation 5 however does not support it. Even if this monitor had a full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 port you still would not be able to get 4k120 at 10bit 4:4:4 because the HDMI 2.1 port on the PS5 is limited to 32GB/s. (limiting you to max 4k120 4:2:2 regardless of what TV or monitor the PS5 is plugged into)

So it’s no good for ps5

  • It's back in stock at scorptec ebay. $1048 with SAVEAPRIL

    too tempting at this price!

  • Thanks OP! finally caved and got 1!

  • Really tempted - can people help with questions:

    1. Will a 3080 run this well enough (presumably can't 4k most games)
    2. Will I miss the curve of my ultrawide?
    3. What is the dead pixel warranty - I couldn't find a link.
    4. Does this have any warranty/protection against burn-in like the 34" Alienware QD-OLED?
    • +1

      1.Yes enough but it wouldn't run 4k 120hz, which will need 4080/4090
2.Yes, but for this big monitor, curve doesn't make much difference. Also it may be too big.
3.you could try RMA, but I wouldn't worry much about it for this price.
      4. No burn in warranty, this is also my concern over Dell QD Oled.

      • thanks

I ordered one from Scorptec. Also using 3080.

      1) I don't really play games that need 144hz+, so I am happy to run games at 4K, mid-to-high setting around 60~70 FPS.
      2) I don't like ultrawides, and 16:9 displays don't suit curved, so this is perfect for me (currently using 32" 16:9)
      3) I don't think dead pixel on OLEDs out of the box is common. This is a high-end LG panel, so I wouldn't worry too much.
      4) Probs not. Might want to look for some tips on YouTube how to avoid burn-ins.

  • Really proper Oled??

    • Yes. Many reviews suggest that it's the same panel used in the LG C1.
