  • Had my delivered thee days ago. Not a bad screen, but was surprised that HDMI didn't support any output over 1080p. Had to go and order USB type C to HDMI adapter to get native res.

    • Probably a usb-c to display port cable instead?

      Don’t think a HDMI’s gonna help.

      • Got adapter usb-c to HDMI yesterday from Amazon and everything works now. See 3440 x 1440 and can display from laptop.

        • +1

HDMI port will give you 3440x1440 native res on the S3422DWG, but you only get 100Hz refresh rate, not 144Hz.

    • +3

Crap HDMI cables can't do the ultrawide resolution at full refresh rate. Try display port if you have one

      • Agreed! Old HDMI cable not going to support it. Get a 4K HDMI cable from eBay will help.

    • Which one did you get?

I'm looking for a work monitor, preferably good text size on two windows/browsers side by side

  • +1

Still grinning from when (many of us) purchased S3221QS displays for $340 each, just last year.
Yes, different specs, but nothing like it since.

Suggest it would be good to add to description res, panel type, and refresh rate for each model.

  • I just ordered Dell S2721QS 27" 4K UHD Monitor for $299.89. Can we tax claim a deduction for the full amount,. If so, how about two monitors worth less than $299 each?

    • +1

Not financial advice….but if $299.89 is the discounted price, make sure Dell's tax invoice matches it. They are known to put in the full price on the invoice which then means that if it exceeds $300, you have to depreciate it for the "tax life" of the product.

If you bought two and theyre in the same invoice then no, depreciation only.

Seek proper tax/financial advice if you want the proper answer.

      • I bought only one so far for $299.I will write to Dell and request to provide an invoice for the same.

    • +2

Not financial advice but I'm pretty sure Tax Invoice is only required if claiming GST.

If claiming as a personal deduction, proof of purchase is adequate. You can prove this cost under $300 via credit card, PayPal or eBay payment summary.

      From ATO website:
In some circumstances you may not need receipts, but you will still need to be able to show you spent the money and how you work out your claim.

If you are unable to obtain a receipt from a supplier, you can still claim a deduction if we are satisfied that the nature and quality of the evidence shows you spent the money and are entitled to claim a deduction. Evidence of your expenses can include a bank or credit card statement that shows the amount that was paid, when and who it was paid to as well as other documents that outline the nature of the goods or services provided.

Thanks for the response. It's clear to me now. :)

  • Any decent 2k monitors on this deal that are cheapish?

  • Can anyone speak on HDR capability of the S3223Q? I've been interested in getting a legit HDR monitor and been eyeing the new OD-OLED 34" from Dell and that 47" from Gigabyte, but they're a bit more then I'd like to spend on a monitor atm

  • Can't get the code to wodk. Any ideas what the issue might be?

  • Over a month shipping time. What gives?

    • +3

      Just a guesstimation from Dell.
When I bought mine earlier this year, it also said one month to be shipped to me, but I received mine after one week.

      • +1

Same for me back in January - ETA was over a month and received after about 10 days.

G3223Q is expired now because I bought the last one lol

  • Damn out of stock on 3422DWG.

Any chance this item will come back in stock before deal expires?
