WTF, possibly refurbs. Do they look new at least? Why wouldn’t they be retail boxed!

          • +1

            @thehulk1969: Everything is brand new

            • +1

@Quickshot: Did you get a revised tax receipt specifying correct items as well?

              • +1

@thehulk1969: fyi I asked for the invoice to be amended but head office said no yesterday :(
The warranty on the drill & driver is 6 years so would be nice to have it on the invoice.

wondering if the ozbargain collective can convince SYD Tool to change their position on this

                • @payton: Can tell them you will go to Fair Trading if no receipt.

                  • @Robot16: True, i would've been happy with the tools not being listed in the receipt if the drill & impacts came in a retail box. Makes me worried these are potentially refurbs that have been repaired really well by the supplier. But then the ozbargainers that got them would have noticed if there are imperfections somewhere?

Can't expect too much because its discounted, but still it rubs off the smile a lil bit.

                    • +1

@payton: If ever they're faulty you should have plenty of evidence for repair / refund. I highly doubt they have enough refurbs to supply everyone who got in on this deal.

                    • @payton: Yeah, I hear you there. I am awaiting mine and was hoping it would be in a proper box also.

          • @thehulk1969: Got mine too but can clearly see some scuff marks on the batteries so they might be refurb. Not complaining though!

            • @brandonlime: You paid for brand new items so there is justification in getting it swapped, IMO.

      • Mine arrive with the drills with no box. One battery with no box but the other battery and charger in a retail box. They were all packed in a non-descript box and manuals thrown in loosely.

All items look brand new and work.

  • I'm in VIC. Status says 'being picked'.

    • Also got email from support saying.
I can confirm there was a slight delay in the dispatching process of your Bosch order which has now been expedited with our warehouse department
      Looks promising….

  • My status is still click and collect. They are just braindead

  • Got an AusPost notification that my order is being packed.

  • Got mine today. Perfect.

  • Received Aupost tracking email just now. Will see what comes

  • As above, also heard from Auspost and it will apparently be delivered this week!

  • Also got my tracking for auspost delivery.

  • Anyone know of any good storage / carry cases to fit everything into?

  • Does anyone know what is the original price of this?

  • +3

Mine coming today according to Aus post to Melbourne. If I do not get an invoice (6 year warranty) I'll give them a call and get one. Will post how that all goes.

  • Arrived this morning.

Two drills in plastic wrap, a pro core battery and charger in a proper box. And just another pro core battery by itself.

    • Mine was exactly the same - arrived 20 mins ago.

Receipt/invoice as others have stated is for just the part number 0615990l5V "Bosh Blue Starter Kit, 1ProCORE18V 4.0 Ah Battery 1GAL 1880 Charger " which is incorrect.

As I think we all understand the mistake that Bosch or Sydneytools made though have been fantastic in honoring.

I'll update is I have any joy from Sydneytools when I call them next week.

    That’s what I received today:

Pretty much the same as many people described above

    Got mine, as per above
suggest you go online and fill out warranty
no receipt needed, just serial number on side of unit near QR code, 9 digit
    https://www.bosch-pt.com.au/au/en/service/warranty/informati…

    • Thanks for the link.

Use the Bosch pro360 app, easier, does it all for you with the phone camera.

      • Even better - thank you!

    • Do you just add it to your asset list and done?

I've done this but theres not much acknowledgement of whats going on. Though it does say "ineligible of guarantee extension" though I'm not sure if that's the same as the warranty extension we're talking about here.

Lucky you guys! I haven't had any luck with where the ETA on my order is after getting that generic 2-4 week dispatch message a few weeks ago!

    • They’ll come, patience.

      • Yep - hope so! Actually need the drill for some drill tasks around the place!

    • Same here…..store says no information from Bosch :(

  • Only one of the drills came with a bit holder, annoyingly haha. Ah well…I need a storage solution for this otherwise itll be the cardboard box it came in (typical light DIY user problem).

  • Forgot to update but I received my drills as well. Sydney Tools really came through and I'm glad our patience paid off!

  • Got mine today. All looks good!!

  • Does your set include handle? Mine doesn't.

  • Received mine yesterday. Was certainly worth the wait.
Interestingly, received the below email from Sydney Tools this morning,
    "
Your order ST******* is currently in the queue for being picked in our warehouse. We are experiencing longer processing times than usual due to Covid-19 staff restrictions, delays in the supply chain and an increased demand in online sales.

However your order has progressed in the queue and we anticipate it will be shipped shortly. An email containing your tracking details will be sent to you as soon as your order is shipped.

We thank you for your ongoing patience. We will continue to keep you updated with the progress of your order."

  • I ordered for click and collect and, while the rep said the kit would be sent direct to me, it was available for pickup in store yesterday. I didn’t receive notification that it was in stock - just happened to be passing the store so stopped to check.

    Finally got it!

      Happy Days

      • Their app is cool, scan tool not so accurate, just between 3 and 8, rest all 5*. All registered and good till 2028!
The charger is another good one 51, 53 minutes each for full battery charge on both batteries! Not bad at all!
        Thanks ST and Bosch!

        • Picked up mine! Looks decent - just using Bosch app to register for warranty?

          Anyone get a corrected receipt?

          • +1

@sicarz: Corrected receipt will not be issued I’ve been told but on record with ST under order number so shouldn’t have an issue returning under warranty I’m led to believe.

  • finally got mine too!!!

  • Is there any one haven't got it?

    • I still don't have mine - starting to get annoyed

  • I still haven't got it and they keep saying that they've refunded me but refund hasn't come in after waiting for a while. Getting the bank involved now, not sure if I really still want the items after that much hassle. This is the second time I've had a bad experience with Sydney Tools and likely not going to order with them again.

    • +2

This is the first time I've ordered with Sydeny Tools and was a great experience that they honored the deal. I think you should call them first before involving the bank to give them a chance to properly resolve, whether that's sending the drills or giving a refund..

      • Ditto

      • I've been communicating with them via email and spoke a couple of times with them as well but not getting anywhere. Will provide them proof of payment as they are insisting that refund was done when the bank can't even see it

        • Good luck! Mention you will take it to Fair Trading if they don't try to assist further.
