    If that info is correct these vary from about 115 watts to 200 watts then. Note that is says ""maximum 200w", it says nothing about running or sustained wattage.

      So you're implying these lack a constant current LED driver?
      They'll burn out in a couple of hours, if not minutes. If you're right, hard pass.

    Better momentary eye pain, than flat under the car.
    And if you knew you were going somewhere with a LOT of wildlife, you can get red filters for light bars.

  How much will this shorten my scooters battery life?

    Most scooters use 6V batteries, so even with the alternator running, you're not going to hit the operating voltage.
    If yours is a larger CC, it might use a 12V battery, and be absolutely fine; once the engine is started, "8-15A" is nothing for an alternator to keep up with.

    Though, this could be wider than your stock cowling; you'd probably look less goofy with a 12" or at least a curved bar if you wantetd to go full width.
