First time post so go easy.

Big discounts on Lego Mario at Target. They advertised 20% off Lego, however a lot of the clearance items are further reduced, many more than an extra 20% off. Some examples;

Piranha Plant Puzzling Challenge Expansion Set 71382: $12 76% off of $49.99 RRP

Boss Sumo Bro Topple Tower Expansion Set 71388: $12 76% off of $49.99 RRP

Chain Chomp Jungle Encounter Expansion Set 71381: $9.60 76% off of $39.99 RRP

Boomer Bill Barrage Expansion Set 71366: $12 76% off of $49.99 RRP

Piranha Plant Power Slide Expansion Set 71365: $12 76% off of $49.99 RRP

Toad's Treasure Hunt Expansion Set 71368: $25.60 74.40% off of $99.99 RRP

Wiggler's Poison Swamp Expansion Set 71383: $17.60 70.66% off of $59.99 RRP

Reznor Knockdown Expansion Set 71390: $31.20 68.80% off of $99.99 RRP

Aware that the RRP are over inflated, but large sales none the less! Most items seem to be available for delivery at time of posting.

The Tie Fighter Pilot helmet at $47 is a good buy.

    • +1

was never in stock at $47. got a couple at $59 last week. :-)

      • didnt know that u coudl still get them?

        • You cant. Its not in stock hasn't been for ages.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, got some stuff.

  • +2

Whats with mario sets? They are for sale everywhere it seems!

    • +3

The novelty wears off pretty quickly (at least that’s what happened with the ones my kids have)

      • +1

Definitely a novelty, I think they would have been more successful with just a normal Lego set and ditch the battery Mario

        • +2

I agree. I only bought the battery Mario because it goes great with the NES set (which is amazing). All of this other Mario stuff is pretty ordinary IMO. Also would've preferred some normal Mario sets (like the N64 Box set)

Got the last 2 in my locate store. It is the best price I have seen.

  • -2

Sorry, but these discounts are not correctly reported. They are all discounted from a usual price of $19?

    • +1

They are the already reduced clearance prices. Check the Lego website or Google the model number for RRP.

this is good price. cheaper than the low $59 sale from big w last year

    • +2

I have this one. Its not a good built. Feels like a duplo item. End up selling it for $40

  • +2

wow thats nuts. Thanks OP, my kids will be beside themselves

  • +1

Mario lego doesn't seem to be doing very well

  • +1

Thanks OP, grabbed 4 random sets for the kiddos. They don't love it but at clearance price it keeps then happy for long enough, and when Peach is released in August my daughter will be more interested for sure

    • +1

Remember that the main set is “ LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Starter Course 71360 Building Kit”.

Without this, you won’t be able to have the character player.

      • Yup we have Mario and Luigi already 🙂
        Waiting for Peach release

  • Thanks OP, haven't got into this line before but at these prices it's well worth it for the bricks alone.

  • +1

Not bad with the $10 off ^^

  • +3

This thing is so boring and takes up so much space. Kids got bored after 10min.

    • +2

Yeah. Just let them stare at a screen all day instead.

  • +2

Did anybody elses order get cancelled immediately after paying?

    • received ready to pick up for low in stock item

    • Pay with a gift card, Target likes to cancel certain credit card orders.

      • Yeah my delivery order seemed to keep gettting instantly cancelled email, even when making full payment with gift card :(

        • Well then at least you get the consolation prize of 5% free money.

    • This has happened to me before with other items, it's like Target has two different systems and it only checks stock in the 'real' system once you place your order. Completely nuts. I don't believe it has anything to do with payment methods.

Not sure why you are posting RRP prices, they never sell at this.
Even the link has the normal price on the Target website

    • +1

Not true. As mentioned above they are the already reduced clearance prices.

  • If you buy the NES lego kit mario will make the right noises as you move the screen.

  • -2

Clicked on OP’s link and he’s wrong. Toads treasure hunt expansion set is listed as $39 usually and on sale for $25.60. That’s not 75% LOL.

    • As mentioned already, they are the already reduced clearance prices, not RRP. This is a further sale on the clearance price.
Feel free to buy it from LEGO for $99.99 here if you prefer.

    • Shoot now? Ask questions later

      • -2

There are heaps of places selling way below $99 if you fall for that, good luck to you.

        https://www.kmart.com.au/product/lego-super-mario-lakitu-sky…

        • Because lots of places have it on clearance maybe?

        • +2

That link is to a different set, but yes, lots of places have it on clearance and this is still the best current price. The RRP is correct and many stores were previously selling at that price. Myer and Gamesmen for example still show the RRP as that for their sale prices.
You don't have to buy them, I was just showing the sale compared to RRP.
