Need a basic mobile phone with long battery life? There are very few models available in Australia now. They've all jumped in price too over the last couple of years - a mobile phone of this calibre used to often be under $50. I've done a little research to find what's currently available that works on Australian networks and thought I'd share it with the OzB community in case anyone else is looking for one, as this model hadn't been shared before.

This Nokia 225 4G covers all (or most!) Australian 3G + 4G bands in use (and 2G if you're travelling overseas where that is available!)

RRP is $89, with most stores selling within $10 of that. Officeworks are $75. Amazon AU are $73.

Officeworks price match Amazon AU, which brings it down to $69.35 - a modest saving at the moment.

Available in Black / Blue / Sand. Has dual-sim slots. Includes snake game!

Hope this helps anyone else looking for a basic phone for calls and the odd txt.

Better buy Telstra Lite 2 for $24 and unlock for $2-$5 Easy. Why to spend so much on 2nd phone.

do you need to show your personal phone to your workplace ?

get a used cheap phone since it's just for show ?

    • you need to go to a Garage Sale

    • Would recommend windows phones.

    • Use desktop based authenticator app. Offcourse will defy the purpose, but, one less hassle.
