These bonus points promos are getting very annoying. Would much rather the 10-20% discount.

I guess doing it this way is fairer as you don’t have 1 person buying 100 cards…

    • Bonus points promotions dissuade a lot of people from buying 100+ gift cards, but not everyone…

Bonus points are also way better for merchants because arguably not everyone values the points at face value (i.e. 2000 points= $10 flybuys/WW dollars) but also you need to use points back in store= sales for ColesWorth.

  • FYI, I just converted remaining balance to an EASI gift card from SWAP food delivery but failed to redeem on EASI app (redeemed few times in the past without issues).

I contacted customer service (which is pretty poor overall btw) and they will need to "investigate with the relevant department". Still waiting to hear back but I'd be avoiding the GC if you were planning to get it to convert to EASI.

    • Ouch, that's concerning. Was the customer service you contacted the Swap Food Delivery that's poor?

      • No, I contacted EASI customer service. Still to hear back, maybe I should contact Swap food delivery instead.

Edit: I just gave it another try and seemed to be working again! Did not hear back from EASI customer service by the way.

      • Glad to hear your Easi gift card worked for you eventually :)

  • The $20-$500 variable Teens card is included. Bought a $500 one this morning and got 10000 ($50) points.

So you could get 10 of those each day if you had such a need :p

  • So explain to me how this functions.
I buy the $500 Gift card.
I get 10,000 points which I can claim as $50 back in gift card or cash? Do they deposit the $50 to my acc or am I issued with a $50 card?

It depends on your Everyday Rewards redemption option.

      Qantas points

All 10,000 Everyday Rewards points will be automatically deducted from your Everyday Rewards account as soon as the purchase is finalised, and 5,000 Qantas points will be deposited in your linked Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 1-2 business days.

      Money Off Shopping

The 10,000 Everyday Rewards points will be automatically converted into $50 Everyday Rewards Dollars.

You can redeem Everyday Rewards Dollars from your Everyday Rewards account at any time when shopping at participating retailers, and you can redeem one or more $10 increments per transaction (assuming you're not trying to buy any excluded items, e.g. gift cards, tobacco, SIM cards). Clause 32 of the Everyday Rewards terms and conditions details all the items that cannot be paid for using Everyday Rewards Dollars. When you scan your Everyday Rewards card and then go to the payment screen, there should be an option to redeem Everyday Rewards Dollars (as long as you're not trying to purchase any excluded items!)

Everyday Rewards Dollars are redeemable at:

      • Woolworths (in-store or online)

      • BIG W (in-store or online)

      • BWS (in-store or online)

      • EG Australia / Caltex Woolworths (in-store only, excluding Sunbury (VIC), Melton South (VIC), Bacchus Marsh (VIC), Winter Valley (VIC), Mittagong (NSW) and all TAS locations).

      Bank For Christmas

This redemption option is almost identical to Money Off Shopping, except for the fact that you can only redeem the Everyday Rewards Dollars during the month of December.

Btw, if you do not already have an Everyday Rewards account, use this link to get 1,500 bonus points as a sign-up bonus. The sign-up bonus points can take up to 30 business days to be credited to your account.

        Fantastic! Thank you.

  • Anyone had their gift card purchase count towards the "Shop to collect x points" booster?

I have a booster to spend $100 in one ore more shops at Woolworths to collect 5400 points. I normally only spend about $50 on weekly groceries so scratching my head on why the new booster's minimum spend jumped up to $100..

I don’t think gift card purchases at Woolworths influence the minimum spend targets on Everyday Rewards’ boosters.

There was a six or seven month phase last year where I bought zero gift cards, SIM cards, mobile phone recharges, etc from Woolworths, but I was getting “spend $100 in one ore more shops at Woolworths to collect 2700 / 5400 points” offers every month or two. My average weekly spend at Woolworths during that phase was only about $40 a week, so I think it was quite likely that Everyday Rewards was enticing me to spend much more than I would usually spend in a week.

I spent about $3,000 in gift cards in one week at Woolworths earlier this year, and a couple of weeks later, I was targeted with a “collect 600 bonus points if you spend $70 in one transaction” offer. If I did that at Coles, my Flybuys minimum spend target would have skyrocketed to $300 or so (and I know this for experience).

      • That's why I personally prefer WW over Coles when it comes to GC deals. I know people say to have a separate burner FB account for GC but still a hassle :D
