Might be good to mention the 850W Power Supply and watercooler in the tiltle.

  • good find

  • whats the previous cheapest price?

    • $480, this is probably the most significant discount since it was released.

Are Cooler Master PSUs any good?

    • +2

you can always upgrade it, but I haven't found any issue with it

    • 1st iteration had issues, the ones included with the CM max have been fixed and are really good.

  • I would have bought this if it got special like 4 months ago, but all good, using EKs aio and Corsair SF750s.

  • Wow, one of the best cases

    • "Best" might be subjective but…

According to reviews NR200P is a recommended budget ITX case, and being packaged with an SFX PSU is a bonus.

  • Goddamnit, this would have been awesome if I hadn't already bought the NR200P on its own. Good find

  • +1

Dang, pretty nice considering the launch price before tax was 349 USD. Kinda like getting the 850W PSU and AIO for $300 over the NR200P (street price ~$100) (NR200P doesn't have top-mount radiator as an option either)

  • +1

    Fantastic case, easy to build.

  • A great case that got better. Cant go wrong with this one - can handle high end CPU and GPU without problems. I had the original version which took a while to optimise as I had 4 chassis fans in addition to the AIO. Looks like this version doesnt need the chassis fans which simplifies the build; no need to optimise fan curves to make it run quiet.

Was holding off till next gen cpu and gpu but tempted to grab this part now but knowing my luck there will be a v2 or color change more what I’m after… tempting

    • +2

the SFF market is really heating up.. hodl i say

  • was able to C&C at bankstown, saved me having to pay $15 delivery

  • Would VIC based retailers price match this? $20 shipping is not fun…

  • Is there a performance decrease for GPU on PCI-E 4.0 Riser Cable instead of directly on the MB?

    • There's no difference. You'd start seeing degradation if you were extending by much longer lengths.

  • +1

Any budget cpu motherboard combo to recommend?

    • +2

For this case - Gigabyte B550i with a Ryzen 5600G if you can't afford/don't have a GPU yet, or 5600X if you can get a GPU.

  • I wonder if those that like high end components in small cases are going to want this for the RTX 4xxx series considering the power consumption is going to be extreme.

Looks like Kogan/Dick Smith have the same deal going but the seller is JW Computers as well

I have this case running a 5800x and a Dell RTX 3090 with an itx Strix x570 gaming wifi board and 16gb b-die running at 4000mhz cl16.
I have undervolted the CPU and I on Cyberpunk (more core intensive than other games) I hit 70 C max, and GPU with 65% fan hovers around 60 C.

Very impressed. God of War @ 4k mostly hovers around 60-65 for CPU.

I put 2 additional fans in as well and replaced the stock AIO fans, all with Noctuas.

    • I doubt your Infinity fabric can hit 2000mhz, 1900mhz is generally the upper limit. I'd check for WHEA errors as those will do a lot of damage unchecked.

  • Good deal, great case. I have the regular NR200P and an SF750 but if i didn't I would heavily consider this. My only complaint is that the Max doesn't come in any of the good colours (I currently have a white but am considering switching it out for a pink).

When will they make ITX mobos reasonably priced?

  • bit of a noob here. if I were to get this, all I need to buy now to have a fully working system is mobo, GPU, ram, SSD and CPU right? has enough fans and everything. is the included CPU cooler compatible with a i9-12series? Also will a 850psu be good enough for a 3080ti or the next series GPUs?

    • +1

This is just a case with CPU cooler and PSU pre-routed.

      • Oh my bad. Thanks

    • +3

Just be aware you'll need a mini ITX (and some smaller micro ATX with 3 PCIe slots) motherboard to use this. Generally these are a bit more expensive, and you get less choice of mobo. It can also take a bit of effort to fit everything in (the top frame unscrews to give you access to the innards). However once it's built it's a nice little unit.

Theres alot of speculation that RTX 4080 and up will probably require 1000+ PSU

  • This is exactly what Ive been looking for, if it was the white case :/

    Unlucky for me

  • -1

Good lord, I know it's meant to be a nice case but HOW much?

Yeah maybe I will get that Thermaltake F1.

    • It does have the included cooler and sfx powersupply, I agree it's a bit steep but it is a highly regarded case. If I didn't like my giant air coolers I would have finally retired my bitfenix prodigy for an NR200.

      • +1

I guess a gold fully modular 850W SFX isn't gonna be cheap :/

        • +1

$399 is more than fair for an NR200 + a 280mm AIO, 850W gold rated sfx psu & a pcie riser gen 4 cable. You could probably source parts for a sffpc build separately for less but for convenience this is hard to beat.

          • -1

@[Deactivated]: I guess thing is, end of the day, I'd only need 450 to 500w gold for my needs and no AIO - so it feels expensive cause there's preemo parts I don't even need.

            • @hamwhisperer: Yeah makes no sense in that case, but for a new build it's a pretty sweet deal.

  • Amazing case, I'm running a R9 5900x + RTX 3090 + Kraken AIO + 3x NVME SSDs in this little beast (Regular NR200), and everything fits together snug, with amazing airflow. The extra noctua fans help I guess.

    • Motherboard?

      • ASUS Rog Strix

    • How's the noise?

      • Very manageable. note that I shucked the GPU and replaced the stock fans with 3x noctua, along with everything else on the case so it's quiet as a cat even on max fan speed.

  • Would anyone happen to know if a Sapphire Radeon RX Vega64 GPU would fit in this case? I have one not being used from an old mining rig and don't have a PC other than my work laptop, so was going to build one around the Vega 64 GPU. But I was looking at mATX as a minimum size thinking that the GPU wouldn't fit into a ITX case. If it would fit, I would also be grateful for any recommendations on a motherboard and CPU to go into the build with it.

    • +2

NR200P Max Length = 330mm, up to Triple Slot.
      Sapphire RX Vega64 = 272mm. Dual Slot.

    • +1

I can't advise re the gpu but based on what you've said this case would be overkill for your needs. Have a read of what people are cramming into this thing (ie 5900x & 3090 etc) to get a rough idea of what the intended use case for a 850w psu & 280mm AIO is.

    • +1

Thank you, I was caught up in FOMO :). The Cooler Master TD300 also fits into the small space I have on my desk and it's only $75 at the minute so with a decent power supply and fan CPU cooler it would come in a bit cheaper than the NR200P. Now just to read through the comments on the Ryzen CPU threads from people saying not to buy now and instead hold out for a few months for the Zen4 CPUs to arrive!
