I think this may have been $34.98 before Christmas?
Googles tells me that Eneloop pack 160212 (pic in desciption shows that item number) comes with a BQ CC51 charger… if true, buy it for batteries, the charger is 'dumb'… if you use it, make sure the batteries are as flat as they can be.

Also, the charger is made in China, and only the batteries are made in Japan.
Any views on a better quality charger or what sort of price to expect to pay?
Nitecore I4.. or D4…. they will do nimh and li ion like18650 etc. Or any of the Eneloop chargers that are smart but they only do nimh (eneloop tech)… if you want more procedures capability there are a few choices… but you start to get into the heavily faked stuff too. Not that Nitecore isnt faked. Remember that the more testing the charger does, its usually via a cycle.. it will charge it, and discharge it, then recharge and give you lots aof arguably mildly useful data. It burns cycles to do it.
Ive been out of it for a few years so not upto date on whats what anymore. I have several Nitecores, an Xtar and the Sanyo Eneloop smart charger
Depends what you want to spend.. and where you prefer to buy from.

This eneloop with batteries is smart, should be good Ive not used one but. But its not bargain priced.
