  Really dumb question here, but are you able to shower with these 'waterproof' earbuds?
  Or is it the type to just resist few splashes of water?

    Unless the listing gives an actual IP rating, I'd be very sceptical of any waterproof claims.

    IP X rating commonly found on phones and earbuds does not protect against steam, only actual water droplets.
