  • Gday Fellow OzBargainers, can anyone recommend a good charger for these? Been looking for rechargeables to use for Xbox controllers. Cheers.

      • Is this a smart charger ?. I read some comments about LiitoKala and Nitecore chargers being better and smart chargers. Sorry not sure about the details and hence the query.

        • Appears to be partially alright…. delta terminations and whatnot but low charge rate may miss terminations. Not reviewed that im aware of, so not tested but generally slow chargers in this chem can miss terminations cancelling out the delta goodness.

      • Getting no stock on these. Any other options?

      • Cheers.
Read similar comments here noting stay clear of 'dumb' chargers and opt for Liitokala and Nitecore. What are people using that they recommend?
        Thanks in advance.

        • Theres a few, like the ones you mention, but not really bargains…

    • If you want to save $4.50, full price IKEA Ladda 2450 are Eneloop Pros with a different label. They come from the same Fujitsu factory in Japan.

Standard Ladda 1900/Eneloop (same again) are better for low drain applications - basically everything that isn't an R/C car, torch or camera flash. You also get 4x as many charges out of them meaning longer lifespans.

    • Can these batteries even charge via Xbox controller's usb port?

$15 @IKEA, $4.50 cheaper, which is Panasonic Eneloop in IKEA label

Is there a post comparing these 2?

      • The Ikea are Enloop Pros. Theres been substantial testing done to confirm it.

Those were the old expensive LADDAs that came in white colour. The new ones are cheaper compared to them and I cannot find any comparisions with eneloops

          • @John Doh: Made in Japan (there is only 1 factory there, FDK)… capacity is 2450.

            Its Eneloop Pro.

            • @Tuba: Cool, Thanks. Hopefully they are made to the same specifications! I would still buy a pack of eneloop pros though as they are just 34.65 for 8 and more peace of mind.

@John Doh: Always were.. there has been Chinese Ikeas too but the numbers dont match the Jap Eneloop version to my knowledge. I dont know if FDK know how to make a bad nimh.

$19.80 for 4, or $34.65 for 8 of these if you are both Prime member and click their Subscribe and Save on Amazon.

    4PCS - $19.80 with Subscribe and Save/Prime
    8PCS - $34.65 with Subscribe and Save/Prime

The 8PCS version has better value and the price is quite close to LADDA from Ikea.

You can always cancel Subscribe and Save soon after your order is shipped out.

I would prefer Amazon, as they usually get it delivered quicker if you are a prime member.
AUSPOST is generally slow and hopeless and sometimes I think they make intentional delays to push people paying extras for express shipping, which is also quite delayed and slow.

Yup I'd get the Amazon Eneloop for pretty much the same price as IKEA, usually next day delivery free with Prime and I don't have to leave my house, no delivery cost, time or fuel driving to IKEA.

How does subscribe & save work?

Say I sign up and decide to change my mind do they charge me the difference later???

      • Pretty much you can cancel it once you get your first delivery.
Just remember to cancel it to avoid the second delivery.

  • Why does shopping square not mention what rating of NiMH batteries these are, are we just meant to guess?
