  • I'm getting $160 usd shipping from europe and I cant see where to change it

    • Make sure to pick aus when on the product pages, came out as $13 for pla+

      • thanks, found it, never tried pla+, but a fan of the sunlu petg, cheap enough to experiment

  • I'm also getting totals in USD

  • Yeah it's USD and it's $13 USD for pla+. OP should update details.

Why is this tagged as a freebie?

  • Can anyone get this to work? PLA+ AU warehouse comes up as code invalid for those colours. Ordinary PLA isn't in AU warehouse??

    • +1

I worked it out in the end. There are too many filament options on that page and after originally stuffing up by not selecting the AU warehouse, I went on a wild goose chase. Correct order procedure is click on the link above. Select AU destination above the filament options first. Add to basket, check out with code.

  • Awesome price, got three rolls of PETG.

Proper prices here I think if anyone is interested.

How does this brand of PLA+ compare to eSun PLA+? Tempted to get more white filament for all the lithophanes I've been printing.

    • +2

I had some normal PLA (not PLA+) from Sunlu before and the quality was quite good, no jams or tangles.
There's less pigment in the filament (unless you buy the silk filament which has nice and intense colours) than with some other brands, which is actually good for lithophanes.

  • How does this compare to eSun?
Edit: haven't seen the comment above.

  • I haven't noticed any difference between esun and sunlu on my prusa MK2.5s in the past

    • Me neither, they appear to be exactly the same on my MK3S. Not bad I’ve gone through approximately 5 rolls now and I’m a fan.

  • Grabbed 2 rolls of White PLA+.
    Thanks

  • Grabbed one of each - thank you.

  • I tried to order 3 PETG but total was $67 with Paypal.

So $22.33 compared to OP $17

    • Did it accept the discount code? I ordered an additional white PETG roll this morning and the price came through as $16.76 AUD after conversion.

      • Yeah it accepted the discount

        • Are you adding the white PETG from the AU warehouse direct from the link above? When I add 3 x white PETG, checkout and add the code it totals USD $35.68 for me.

My bad it had 4 rolls in the cart it didnt seem to remove one when I updated.

        Ordered 3 now!

        • +1

No worries. Glad you worked it out.

  • Thanks! Pretty good prices. Trying out some PETG

  • $160 delivery, no matter if i choose AU before adding to cart or not?

    • have a look at my reply above with my order instructions. Only filament from the deal link works. I just tried it again and it still appears to work.

      • Yeah tried that, removed everything from the cart, clicked deal link, made sure AU chosen, then selected only deal items and still showing $160 unfortunately. All good I have enough PLA for now anyway..

        • very strange. Out of interst, what colour, type were you trying? It is a terrible site.

          • @shaneb: White, Grey and Black PLA+

            • @imsuperimposed: okay, very odd. Just added one of each and went to check-out and it looked okay. Not sure why it doesn't work at your end.

  • Cheers op, got two rolls for $34aud with free delivery from the aus warehouse.

  • Anyone have experience with their dryer boxes?

I have one of the series one models. It seems to do its job, although I have added a fan to it. I find it a little flimsy. If you open the lid and aren't careful it will topple over due to there being next to no weight holding it down other than your roll of filament. Series two I believe has a fan and humidity measurement.

    • I’ve got two, they’re cheap and they work pretty well. I’ll usually only turn them on if I haven’t used that roll for a while, or when I’m printing with TPU (highly moisture sensitive).

  • What are some of the latest prints that you have been doing?

I haven't used mine in a lil while and keen for some suggestions :)

  • My singular roll just got shipped, tracking number still on pending for around 24 hours at the time of posting. Sent by AusPost Parcel Post

  • I've just ordered my first 3d printer, so ordered a couple rolls through this deal. Where does every one normally order their filament from in aus?

I ordered a couple extra rolls with my printer also, so hopefully these rolls will last me a little while..

    • +1

I normally order eSun PLA+ from these guys https://www.cubictech.com.au/ Stock availability is a bit random, but price is usually pretty good for quality filament.

    • +1

Another vote for eSun PLA+ from Cubic Tech.

  • I just received my filament order. I was kind of expecting it to be Sunlu branded filament, but looks like it is generic stuff. No idea what it will print like. Has anyone used this before?

    • +1

Same. Looks like generic - nothing on the box says Sunlu. well… At least it was cheap.

Maybe that's what Sunlu normally sells under their label. :)

    • +2

My two roles of PETG arrived today. Also generic box that says "3D Printer Filament".

I noticed one of the other pages on the site says that it will be one of their brands.

Still need to run some test prints and see how the quality is.

      • Thanks for that. Had not seen that page before. Gives me a little more confidence.

  • Never got a shipment email, I followed up with the store. They ran out of Black PLA+ and didn't think to tell me so I could order something else. A bit late now too, I ran out of Black PLA yesterday.

Requested a refund and will buy from a local store instead.

  • I’ve had a good run with Sunlu (about 5 rolls so far of Black/Grey/White PETG on a Prusa MK3S). No stringing, consistent prints. Only negative is the roll winding from factory (minor point really doesn’t affect quality, just noisy when feeding).

Just wish the range of colours was larger from the AU warehouse.

  • Just like @Dunnymeister I never got any email telling me that my order shipped and had to chase them up myself after 10 days and receiving 3 newsletters from them. I got the same reason too, ran out of black PLA+ and never bothered to let anyone know. Not a great customer experience.
Requested a refund and got my money back pretty quick, that's the only positive.

    • Same experience here and for the same colour. Sent an email over a week ago and only got a reply yesterday. They gave me the choice to pick another color so went for that.

      • I forgot to add that they offered to switch the black to grey but I'd rather the refund since I required black.

  • Ordered black and white PLA+, received white only.
I wouldn't mind waiting for black.
But lack of communication (apart from newsletter 'spam") is disturbing.
Not sure if I should wait or cancel…

    • Have you been told when the Black PLA+ will be back in stock by any chance?

      • Nope. Nothing. "Lack of communication".
