  • the graphite 45mm has always been $1069 on amazon

    • Yeah, you're right. Looks like the $999 is also the regular price on amazon according to CamelCamelCamel. I only compared the price on Apple's website.

  • says $557 for me…..

    • I’ve had apple watches since first release but this time I sent the 7 back after free look period. Recently grabbed a Mi Band 5 for $25 on eBay and am shocked at how good it is $25 !!!

Mine was $35 less $10 for Afterpay promo.

      • I disagree

Mine lasted a few months before the band broke
But my biggest gripe was that I couldn’t shower with it as the water droplets would change the settings. Had to essentially take it off before the shower or I would have a random alarm set or the background changed

No one wants your poverty-tier Fitbit knockoff.

If you love China so much why don’t you marry it

      • Hey, the Mi Band is genuinely better than most Fitbits. Have you even tried one?

    • Yuck

You claim the MiBand is the “top seller” and then you say “Apple’s monopoly”.

Do you fail to see the irony in your comment?

Hmmm it seems like a nifty little gizmo that MiBand!

What is the quality of cellular calls through the Mi Band? Particularly if the phone is at home and I’ve gone for a walk?

Another thing I’m interested in, the distance required from the eftpos terminal for PayWave to work - I read some reviews that say the screen scratches easily, so I’d rather not be tapping the Mi Band against the actual terminal.

How well does it handle HomeKit? Will it reliably let me unlock my keyless front door when I’ve gone for a walk with nothing but my watch? My wife isn’t comfortable with me geofencing and automating the lock, so it’s still a button press unfortunately.

Will the Spotify app on the MiBand allow me to stream music through the MiBand’s SIM card?

Also, if my phone goes completely flat, can I still control Spotify in my home theatre with the MiBand?

Will the MiBand actually save me time in my day to day activities? A minute fumbling for keys here, a few seconds running to my phone to answer it there? It all adds up into precious time I could be studying about SCADA, or neural nets, or stories about creatures taxing bridge users.

Everything you need is done much better by the phone with huge screen & full control. The watch is for quick time & sleep/activity tracking. The rest are gimmicks to pay again for the redundant & underwhelming functionality.
The Amazon tracker doesn't even have screen.
Now, what about the slavery to charge the watch every day. I don't even stop to charge the watch - it's during short time of shower (which preserves the watch from hot water, they all recommend 0-40C).
All my Mi Bands since v2 are still working,. I only can afford to upgrade to new features (nap tracking) due to very low price. The old ones will go as present overseas.

        • I’m a slave to the charger, oh damn, what has become of my life…. Take watch off, place on charger. When put watch back on, take off charger.

… oh god, what is my purpose in life.

I’m guessing it means a new one is coming soon!
