White is also available on amazon at same price free delivery

Black is available at video pro for $1 more if you’d rather not give your dollars to old mate Gerry

    • if you’d rather not give your dollars to old mate Gerry

Gerry does not deserve my business.
I'd rather do business with those who really deserve my hard-earned cash and provide me with bargains.

  • Anybody have these or the older QC35 and also tried the Sony WH1000XM3 or 4? I have the sony wh1000XM4 but after a few hours the top band starts to feel a bit uncomfortable. Ive read that the Bose QC are more comfy for long time wear. I also like that the Bose have a smaller case and pack down smaller. But the Sonys do sound and perform great. Trying to decide if I should change over to the Bose for more comfort

Yes, I have got QC35 and my mate has the Sony. I also have bose 700 and sennheiser pxc 500. I would recommend QC45. They are the most comfortable. Thinking of selling the both bose and buy qc45.

      • interesting.
i thought QC35 was super comfy already!!

Qc35 are comfy. Bit of older tech now though eg micro-usb charge port.

          • @Gandalf the Thrifty: thanks gandalf. (As always!)

@gimli: The QC35ii are better tuned than the QC45. The 35’s aren’t far off the harman target, whereas the 45’s have a bright, treble forward sound.

The 35’s allow you to use them unpowered, ANC off (with active EQ on) and ANC on (also with active EQ on).

45’s only provide unpowered and ANC on (with active EQ).

Bose recently added very rudimentary EQ controls to their app for the 45’s, so I’d look into whether that has improved the sound situation. Otherwise, you’re only really paying a premium for USC-C charging.

Also, I have the QC25 and XM4. The QC’s are much more comfortable - nicer headband and bigger earcups.

Not sure if this is too late but anyway…

I have the XM2 (not sure how much the design varies to newer models) and my girlfriend hated them because of the top band + they squished her ears. She now has the QC45 and she loves them, and I can confirm much comfier than Sony's. The reason I'm here is that I want to upgrade now after having a taste! QC45 is so much lighter on your head; bigger ear cups; ANC is wayyy better. The downsides are that yes the sound is a bit treble-y and there is yet to be a solution as far as I'm aware; limited ANC controls.

My verdict: if the XM's are uncomfortable for you then you should go for the QC45s.

  • It has been $395/6 on videopro from at least a few weeks now
