The problem with these APS sensor sized "compact" cameras is that you can't put them in your pocket unless you buy a special lens, in this case that lens costs over $300.

300 bucks for a pancake is actually fairly good. The Panasonic 14mm is around 300USD, the 20mm is 400USD.

    • their 20-50mm lens isnt that bad, smaller than their 18-55mm and smaller than the sony 18-55mm.

About the same size as the olympus 12-42mm which is on a smaller sensor.

About the same size as a compact camera that has those extendable lenses; fully extended all the time.

  • hmmm I wanted to pick up architectural photography for uni(for one semester), wondering if this camera would be a good investment..

    • a lot of proper photography courses still require that you have a full frame camera (this is apsc or 1.5x), which runs over $1k used.

Plus for architecture, 18/20mm is probably not wide enough so you'll need to spend extra for that. (around $400)

      • haha thanks for that, maybe I won't pick that course up… haha

      • APS-C or 1.5 crop is not "full frame". "Full frame" has a 36x24mm sensor.

        • I think you misread his post. He is saying you need a full frame and this one is a 1.5 crop.

        • You're right. I did.

    • The problem would be the lens range available.

I would think you would need to be able to mount a shift lens for your course. They are generally full manual anyway off the top of my head so you could use one through an adapter.

  • Not bad, shame I bought a NEX 5n two weeks ago.

Seems like a pretty sweet price on the NX 200, but the 210 and 1000 are just around the corner.

  • Rep how long does this offer go for?

We only have limited stock at this price, so it's while stock last only.

      • Did you guys sell out?? :( I was pretty keen to get it but I had the get the thumbs up from my lecturer so I didn't waste my money on buying a camera that wasn't sufficient for the course :/ Now that its gone back up guess I'll just have to look else where :(

      • Is it possible for you guys to give me that deal :/
