Have been on lookout for Airpods 3rd Gen since past few months. Can't wait any longer, maybe can get Officeworks to price beat.

No deal expiry time specified. From Amazon AU so seems like they are not Direct imports like Kogan.

Are these better than the Pro's?

  • +3

No. Biggest difference, no noise canceling on these ones, compeered to the pro’s.

Depends on who you ask. For me I can't stand any sort of earphones deep inside my ear canal (i.e. with earbuds). I used to be in Android ecosystem until few months ago and during the era of 3.5mm Headphone Jack, used to love using Apple's wired earpods with my Galaxy Note and Nexus 6p. Hence for me, these are better than Airpods pro - minus the noise cancelling as you said ;)

      • agree. I'm totally different from your case.

stock airpods be it pro or non-pro, can't stay on my ear. the pro at least has memory foam tips you can buy to replace.

during the 'wired earphones' days, at least i don't have to worry about hunting for dropped airpods. now i can't even get the non-pro airpods.

Apparently gen 3 airpods have worse fit than gen 2. Personally can't attest but have seen it discussed a lot online.

Not sure if relevant but if you have fit troubles in past maybe find a way to try them.

    • Amazon have 30 day returns

    • Definitely depends on the person. These fit me much better then the 1st/2nd gen.

Unfortunately I went through two sets because of a faint buzzing noise in the right hand side. Would steer clear if you tend to be bothered by that sort of thing

  • Nice first post.

  • Nice one. I got mine from Amazon AU as well.

  • If I'm using a Macbook, iPhone and iPad - how do you go about easily swapping between devices? Using non Apple stuff, unpairing and repairing is an absolute drag. Cheers!

    • It’s like selecting an airplay speaker.

Just incredible. People hate on apple, but damn they know how to create a good user experience.

Excellent user experience… If you love being told what you can/can’t do with your device.

Just say you’re working on your MacBook listening to music, and your phone rings — automatically answers on AirPods. Then the iPad gets an incoming FaceTime call, and one of the AirPods (left or right — your choice) takes the audio so you can multitask two conversations. Finally, whilst this is happening, a work Zoom call comes in on the MacBook and Siri answers it to keep the ptWFH crowd entertained until you are finished on either the left, right, or both AirPods (again — your preference in the settings). Just like magic, but better

    • you can also configure the airpod (pro for me in this case) to not 'switch that much' and stick to the same device.

      its all configurable: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212204

  • Price beat @ OW before they update the price

No returns with them If used

  • Have given up on airpods due to ear fitting. Swapped my airpod pro with powerbeats pro and was never been happier. Proper fitting trumps noice cancelling anytime..

    • +3

These are not AirPods pro, and are $100 cheaper than Powerbeats.

  • Dont forget the cashback i believe its 7% with shopback

  • +3

OfficeWorks did a price beat for $232.75 👍

  • I got one from Amazon AU and it looks like it didn't carry the whole one year warranty. Although the item looks brand new, I still feel a bit odd. So, I decided to talk to Amazon AU and get an exchange sent. Therefore, make sure you check for the warranty period and get in touch with Amazon AU asap for exchange, refund, etc.
