Samsung is offering a $500 trade-in bonus to take off the S22 ultra. ($450 for S22+ and $400 for S22).

Samsung Care+ (valued at $149) is also free if you add it to your order.

You can combine with the Loyalty voucher to take off further $100.

It is effectively a $600 ($500 + $100) discount + Free Samsung Care+ for $1249! You can further deduct the trade-in value of the device you are trading in.

I did it with S8+ and got a mere $20 off…

I have not tested if Samsung Care+ is free for S22/S22+ purchases. Hope this helps someone!

    • I traded in my S10 for S21 Ultra. Never returned the S10, they got their fees a month later which was the trade value for s10. S10 still works fine.

          Your flogging a dead horse mate. That’s the trade in value of the phone itself! Of course you have to repay that….it’s the $500 bonus you don’t have to pay back!

          Most people trade a $20 Samsung S8, and get a $500+$20=$520 bonus. They pay back the $20 plus admins fees.

    • This is not clear enough, the discount could just be the agreed headset payment.
      I've done a few of these trade ins, never returned the phone and was only charged the agreed handset price plus $60 admin fee.

  • Do the trade up program at your own risk, Asurion received my trade up item and still took over $500 of the held funds. You can't contact them and they won't respond to emails. Samsung's customer service is also very, very slow and just sucks to be honest, I'm still waiting two months now for my phone case to ship. In the end after numerous attempts to get in contact with both Samsung and Asurion with no luck I won my charge back. I don't think I'll ever deal with Samsung again to be honest.

    If anyone is actually brave enough to use this, shoot me a PM, I've got two of the loyalty voucher codes (you can only use one though) as well as one 50 dollar email code that took like 10 days to get that I'm not planning on using anymore.

              • @darkly: So you have away someone else's trade up code. Of which they would be charged the device trade up cost and admin fee when the device is not returned

                  Don't use it then. In hindsight it probably shouldn't be used if someone else will be charged etc.

      Try with different devices and different browsers. On the 3rd device I tried it finally added it for free.

    This is for people likes to purchase and unable to get Samsung care for free while on firefox version 99. I changed the browser to internet explorer and all got it right.

      Did you stack loyality and newsletter? I'm waiting ok the newsletter code but some are saying it doesn't stack.

      • Entering the newsletter code after loyalty code didn't work. Got message: 'The code you entered did not affect your order. Please note, codes may only be valid for certain items or in certain conditions.'

        Asked live chat and they said:

        Unfortunately, they are not compatible with one another. Discount is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Not available in conjunction with any other offer unless otherwise specified.

  • Samsung Care+ is it worth? Reading horror stories everywhere online. People charged Swap fee and not getting device for a month or more. And some charged additional fee once device was received in which they're told the device condition is not as per expectation.

    • Good luck with the Newsletter code…. Mine didnt come after 2 days of emailing them about not receiving it, spoke to chat and they said they contacted the 'team' and will prioritise it… 5 business days later nothing.

      I ended up buying the phone because I don't think the loyalty and newsletter stack anymore.

      • Exactly my case. Still no newsletter code in the email. Someone did trade me theirs, then I learnt that it didn't stack either.

  • I was able to get a loyalty voucher for $100 from a samsung live chat agent, however when I went to get the trade-in ID using the trade up app from samsung, the final page before providing the trade-in ID states that i would be charged the full amount of the trade in value as a holding charge.

    Has anyone come across this issue before?

      My full phone charge disappeared once I bought the phone off their site.

      I had this issue too. I asked customer service and they said the care package is not compatible with any other offer - including trade up. It does say it in the t&c's, so I ordered without it. Feel a bit annoyed now.

  • Anybody having to wait a while for Samsung to despatch the phone? Ordered early this week and no change to the order.

    Last time I got the phone after 2 days of ordering.

    • Got my phone today after ordering on the 23rd! The website updates still say "preparing dispatch". Only knew it was coming because StarTrack sent me an SMS

      • That makes sense, mines been stuck on "preparing dispatch" for 3 business days now.

        Maybe I got a lucky run last year, everything (including the trade-in process) was much smoother.
