I would but my wife might leave…

    • Went back today, my code wouldn't work. Guy asked me to log in and out. Then my account disappeared. I had to create another account. Password reset wouldn't happen due to it apparently not existing?! So weird.
Ps you have to get different burgers each time. Couldn't get the BLAT again.

  • +3

Grabbing a $5 BLAT for lunch. Great deal!

  • +1

Just had the Bonfire BBQ and it was noice! Not sure how "healthy" the fried chicked is but tastes good!

  • Looks like they had a hot one, but no longer available : https://www.grilld.com.au/news/latest/hfc-burgers

    BLAT and Bonfire look good

  • +1

Just had the Smokey one. The chicken itself was not all that great, would prefer grilled chicken any day. Probably worth it for $5 though

  • -2

I just ate mine, not filling at all. I'll have to make a second account and have another one.

    • This is healthy if you eat and not get full. Some burgers has lots of fat in their mayo that fills you up.

      • I do a 4 hour eating window though so I like 2 big meals. This was not one of them lol.
The one with bacon is better.

    • +1

Give it 15 min after eating..

I like the marketing spin, healthy compared to other stuff (which is absolute crap).

Good once in a while no doubt. Can't see anyone paying full price for any of these though.

  • +3

Not a fan of burgers costing around $15 but the same burger for $5? Cluck yeah!

  • Just went to grab one at my local Grill'd and they're closed today, odd (South Yarra VIC).

  • Thanks OP. How big are these burgers?

    • I got the BLAT and you cant complain for $5

  • +1

It's funny that the Beef Mustard and Pickle is the similar kJ content to the HFC range.

    so what makes it healthy?
I think its just not as UNhealthy as their regular range, going by kJ count.

    +1 for the deal
    -1 for the marketing spin

    • +2

Yeah it's mostly a marketing spin on the name, the "healthy" comes from a comparison to other players in the market for fried chicken specifically:

      HFC Burgers:

Compared to other fried chicken players, our HFC burgers are a cut above the rest. We call it Healthy Fried Chicken for a reason. According to independent lab tests by Food Nutrition Australia and publicly available nutritional information, per 100g:

      • HFC Classic contains 36% less sugar than McDonald’s McChicken Burger
      • HFC Classic contains 67% less sugar than KFC Original Recipe Burger
      • HFC Hot contains 57% less sugar and 25% less carbohydrates than KFC Zinger Burger
      • HFC BLAT contains 48% less sugar and 26% less saturated fat than Crispy Chicken Deluxe
      • +2

So grill'd believes it's in the same league as mc Donald's & KFC

        • +1

Not worth 13-17$, and not healthy so may as well get on the frugal feeds hungry jacks Coupons

        • +1

Should also be a similar price, just fancy junk food to be honest

    • We could also ask what makes it unhealthy?
      It's so subjective…

      Is similar kJ actually comparable?
With that thinking, 500kJ of pure fat is similar to 500kJ of pure protein…

And is lower kJ healthier? Why?

Not looking too deep, this is what they say about their Healthy Fried Chicken
      • Cooked in Australian extra virgin olive oil
      • No preservatives, no additives, and no hormones
      • RSPCA Approved chicken breast

One would say on paper, that's "healthier" than
      • Being cooked in Vegetable Oil (McDs)
      • Containing preservatives, additives or hormones
      • Non RSPCA Approved chicken

    • +2

      Calories is for energy
      Ingredients is for 'healthiness'
      Two seperate things

      • This.

The kJ number alone is irrelevant.

Unfortunately many don't understand the difference between 1000kJ from grilled chicken and broccoli and 1000kJ from a coca-cola.

        • Almost people don't realise how many calories are in it and more so how tasty it is. People get sick of eating the same amount of broccoli or apples before they are sick of eating ultra processed sugar fat salty foods.

  • +1

Grill’d Eagle Street in Brisbane are a joke.. 1.25pm and they reckon they are sold out of all HFC Patties for today.

First day of the promotion.. wow

    • +1

And Wintergarden has run out already too

    • I must’ve gotten one of the last ones, picked up my order at 1pm. They were really not fast at making it though, ordered at 12.40.

      • Weird, I ordered tonight and there was no issue… I guess they save some for dinner times?

        • Which store? Went back to Wintergarden tonight and they still didn’t have any?

          • @JHoliday: Just called Eagle Street and they said they have a few more boxes of stock in.

    • +1

Yeah rocked up around 12:40 in Wintergarden and the guy told me that they only had frozen ones. Talk about a borderline bait and switch

  • +13

Just drove over to Grill'd. These burgers should be $5 normally, anyone who would pay $15 for it is out of their mind. The burger is tiny, I had to head over to KFC because I was still hungry :/

  • -8

Tastes like Woolies deli sandwich shnitzel. Not worth the effort.

  • +4

    So now they're Fri'd?

  • Fried but “healthy” hamburgers

  • +1

Healthy fried chicken is an oxymoron heh.
The $5 plant based burger promotion was good.

    Either way $5 is great

  • +5

Had the HFC BLAT tonight, I've had many good fried chicken burgers in my life and this isn't even close. Sure for $5 it's great and it may be healither than others, but honestly if I am eating healthy I'm not looking to buy a fried chicken burger anyway. Once this promotion ends, I don't ever see myself ordering one at the normal price.

  • Had one today at Southern Cross Station, massive lines at 12:30pm for HCF promotion. Next time, 11:45am to beat the queue.

    BTW, Bonfire taste so goood.

    Will try BLAT tomorrow.

    • +1

Tried BLAT today at South Melbourne store , good queue.

Tomorrow, will try Classic or Smokey. OR BLAT,

      • +1

Received email from Grill'd and I just scored a free drink after my 5th visit to Grill'd.

  • +2

Just had the BLAT, delicious, absolutely no complaints here re taste/size, just right. Great deal!

  • +1

Thanks but HFC is not available at chatswood? I switch to other shop and they show up

    • I got one from Chatswood earlier today, no issues

      • Seems like some restaurants stopped selling them around 8pm. Not sure if they ran out or just didn't want to sell more of them today.

    • +1

Same on Penrith. Maybe we went there late

  • can u do takeaway or have to eat inside restaurant?

    • +1

Offer available for dine in, takeaway, pick up phone orders, online ordering, and Grill’d Delivery.

  • +3

I'm pretty fit, lean etc not that its makes a big difference, but just for perspective I feel like have a good grip on good healthy eating.

I can see why this is healthier than other burgers. Yeah it's fried but the chicken tasted on the lean side. It was not that jelly soft mush crap you get in some patties, tasted like actual chicken. And I think they say healthy because of the nutritional value. Some avocado, lettuce and herbs etc, all tasted legit. Wasn't that subway type rubbish salad.

My benchmark is my local (neutral bay) that does an aussie burger (egg, beef, beetroot, onion you know the one, its massive). That's $10. So this has less but I'd still be OK at $10. $15 for a takeaway is just too much for chicken.

Very happy with the deal and I would repeat at $10. FYI had the BLAT

    Nothing for vegetarians.. :(

    • +1

They have 2 for 1 vegetarian burgers on Mondays. Dine in only.

  • Had the Original today and it was pretty awesome.

  • Had the original and BLAT last night they were average burgers, I wouldn't pay full price for them though.

    • Good for $5, similar to whopper deals
      Wouldn't pay full price either

  • installed the app- cant find this voucher anywhere :(

    • +1

I had the same problem the way around this that worked for me was to delete my account and recreated it.

      • thnx

      • Deleting and recreating worked for me thanks!

  • If you’re on IOS the app requires a real phone number verification but not on android. My exisiting account with Grill’d did not have this promotion.
I had to use an android phone to sign up, but logging into my iPhone it still requires a phone verification

    • web browser doesn't need any verification

      • +1

        Oh cool I’ll try that

  • +3

It looks like they're playing silly burgers with online/app orders.

All of the Sydney CBD stores aren't accepting online orders, due to "staff shortages", which feels like non-sense, because they're still taking orders on doordash/uber.

Several suburban stores have removed the HFC range from their online menu.

A cynical person might come to the conclusion, this is all to avoid honoring the $5 deal.

    • +3

Miranda was offline too and I rang them but they are open. However they have “ran out” of hfc Patties and won’t get more until tonight or tmr…..

      • +1

All the hallmarks of a well managed promotion. Staff shortages, food shortages … waiting for the packaging shortages to strike next.

      • Got one at Miranda today

  • +11

2 hours changed to 2 days now in T&Cs so have to wait 2 days after ordering one

    • +3

      d**che move

      • +4

Barely gives enough time to redeem all five through the promotion then

    • +2

good way to attract less customers lol

      • Perhaps a way to salvage their brand? Reading all the reviews here about how bad these burgers are, might've put off more customers than retain them.

Having said that, the burgers are pretty average. I only eat them when they're free or heavily discounted.

    • +1

My app still showing 2 hours?

      • +2

Did you try reordering before 2 days passed by? Gives you an error and directs you to T&Cs where it says its 2 days

        • Yes have tried tonight, and it fails on the online order and failed in store. Staff saying they discount not showing up.

So even thought the T&C say 2 hours in the app, it looks like they changed it to 2 days :(

    • +2

Thanks for this - I was wondering why I didn't get my third voucher last night after redeeming my second burger…

    • +1

They should have decided that in the original Terms, what's the point of terms of they are changed on the fly. Happy to get $5.00 burgers, but a little frustrating.

      • +1

My local said they couldn't cope with demand and they wanted more people to try it. Rather than same person 5 days in a row? Not sure what Marketing thought would happen if they give out 5 burgers to each member?

        • I was surprised they made it 5x, should have been 4x at most for each menu item. Realistically it shouldn't have been more than two per customer.

  • I tried the HFC bonfire bbq today.. The sauce is not that great to go with the chicken. I will try the HFC BLAT next time. Hope the sauce will be better mix with the chicken but I do not like bacon so might ask them to put the bacon on the side and give it to my partner to eat.

    • Tried Blat yesterday. They are not that great. Pretty small and average quality.

      • +1

Yes agree was underwhelmed. Was small and rather tasteless actually. We joked should have called it Blah instead of Blat!

  • I have tried the Blat yesterday, pretty average quality and small.
Also in Sydney, I might have to wait 20 minutes to get the burgers if you order in store. The 20 minute wait for these burgers is too much.

    • -2

I saw the sign in the Sydney stores too … guess it just depends on the time of day. My pick up order took around 10mins, which was reasonable.

  • great

  • Coupon xxxxxxxx not found Unable to apply this coupon. Does not meet Terms & Conditions.

    • I am also getting the same error.

    • Is this first coupon? Wonder if this rule about 2 days to receive next coupon applies here? ie you may have received coupon in under 2 days but they still make you wait 2 days to apply?

      • It's my second. It's well past 2 days though.

  • Does anyone have a referral code?

    • No

  • I ordered via the app, added the coupon all good. But now can't use it again, it's single use only.

    • +1

T and C says 2 days before next arrives. So sadly have to wait or create new account?

      • I thought I read 2HRs, I got one on TUES/WED, but now the third hasn't arrived yet.

Edit: Just ordered it online with fresh relish account.

  • +3

    "Healthy" Fried Chicken Burgers

If you want to eat your fried chicken burger, go ahead, nothing against that

But let's be honest, there is nothing "healthy" about eating a fried chicken burger.

Way too much bullshit from these people.

    • Should have named it R(Relatively)HFC instead ?

      • relatively ?
        like half pregnant ? lols
or it is , or it is not
ask yourself the question, if you were to eat once or twice per week a supposed "healthy fried" burger , would you be ok (healthy wise) after a year doing so ?
hope that answers your question regarding the healthiness

  • +2

It's been 48 hours since my first $5 burger so not sure why I can't use my second voucher?

    • +2

Same here, they have really stuffed themselves on this one.

      • Looks like stinky rice cakes for lunch instead fml

    • Same problem too

  • Got my 3rd voucher today. very tempting to get another one, along with free unlocked alcoholic drink (after 5th visit). Might get BLAT.

    • I didn't use my 3rd voucher yesterday but TODAY - YASS! Plus I scored a free alcoholic drink (5th visit) as well as part of Relish member.
