After seeing the iFixit teardown comparison, I think the 70-80% premium over the XM4’s is entirely justified; the build quality of these things really is on another level.
Fantastic sound quality, and YMMV, but I had XM3’s before, and those always gave me the uncomfortable “pressure” feeling with ANC on, and a headache after wearing for more than a couple of hours. I get neither of these with the AirPods.
I bought one of these from HT back in March.
TLDR - Cheap price, but HT customer service is woeful and a hassle. The stock is very old and you need to get the tax invoice before Apple will fix the warranty date.
Seems that HT was never an approved Apple reseller (there was some google article indicating that they would be).
Long story.
It took 8 days for it to be delivered, but Aus Post tracking indicates they didn't bother shipping until 5 days after order.
Ordered Friday, posted Wed, received following Friday.
The stock was >10 months old, the default Apple warranty was going to expire in 3 months time when I checked it.
I had to ask 4 times before HT would send me the tax invoice.
Took a long time of faffing around (so much so that it seemed like it had been registered before).
In the end, the warranty date was corrected (>1 month post purchase, no thanks to HT).
You get 2 months to decide if you want to buy Apple Care, and the 2 years starts the day you pay for it.
Up to you if you want to pay $79 for that.

You prompted me to ask for the invoice, and luckily they replied right away with a tax invoice.
Also my order shipped next day and is arriving tomorrow.

Agreed, I tried these for a month and I couldn't stand them, heavy and uncomfortable.
Looking forward to seeing if they do any better with their second iteration, which can't be that far away now.

Final update. Shipped first business day after order and arrived the day after.
Had to contact apple as their warranty was ending June 2022. Contacted Apple who have updated to April 2023 based on invoice from HT.
All good.
Apparently they don’t fold up like the AirPods max. So the case is ginormous.
