  • Is there a reason Gigabyte does 2x HDMI, 2x DisplayPort instead of 1x HDMI, 3x DisplayPort like everyone else?

    • +5

      They wanted to stand out.

    • It's probably cheaper.

      • +2

3x display port 1x hdmi is cheaper, as hdmi has a port licencing fee.

        • and charged per cable.

  • +3

Anyone got a free shipping code?

    • -1

$12.50 shipping kills so much of these being deals.

  • The website says MSI GeForce RTX 2060 RRP $899

    • Yeah their RRP for any items there are just unreal!

These numbers are from the latest Hardware Unboxed 12 game average benchmarks for 2022 (https://youtu.be/oBDFtJ4lR2c?t=463). It doesn't take into consideration Ray Tracing, DLSS, etc I am aware 3k res isn't a thing, but I averaged the 1440p and 4k resolution performance stats. I personally run a 1440p ultrawide, so 3k is about right for me.

    Avg FPS (1440p) % of 3090 Ti —— Avg FPS (4k) % of 3090 Ti —— Avg FPS (3k) —Recent Bargain— $ per frame (3k)

      3060Ti still value king.

      • Assuming you can find it in stock and close to that bargain price. :-)

        • +1

I’m still rocking my $660 3060Ti from launch. Since at launch nobody even batted an eye at the 3070 much less the 3060Ti because they were all waiting for the 3080.

In reality I dumped like $5k into graphics cards and none came.

    • +1 for table

    • Surprising, did not expect the 6900XT to outperform the 3080ti

      • +1

        Loses at 4K though.

  • -2

oh wow 3090 Ti only 3k after discount! Is this a “bargain” lmao

    • There is 3090ti under $3k already.

    • rofl I bought my RTX 3090 (not-Ti) for $4100 a year ago, so it is indeed a bargain XD

Urgently bought one since I needed it for work with its 24GB VRAM, cheaper than going the Quadro route.

  • This is a pretty great deal. ie. 2tb samsung 970 evo plus NVME for 260

    • $269 shipped is a routine sale price for that SSD, I got one for that price on the first of April.

It's pretty hard to claim the $20 steam gift card from Samsung if you buy from Shopping Express though, they rejected my claim citing incorrect proof of purchase as SE =/= K.S. computer technology even if later is the parent company of the former.

      • -1

I guess they are some things to think about.

        • +1

Yep, I forgot, its actually a $40 (2x$20) steam gift card via redemption for the 2TB.

A 970 Evo Plus 2TB is $285 shipped from BPCTech (eligible vendor) and would come with a $40 steam gift card.

Better value than $269 for the same SSD without the gift card if you use Steam.

Do we know if the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING OC 16GB GDDR6 is the new version with the better soldered PCIE power connectors??
When are the "good brand" 6900 XTs gonna go on sale?? I have heard people avoid Gigabyte when it comes to GPUs…

  • +1

$699 for the Unifi Dream Machine Pro is not competitive, even if 10% is taken off this price.

  • Perfect if I didn't have a 750w psu

    • Same here but I ended up going for the 6900XT and an RM1000x to replace the RM750x I have from Umart.
I think it was $259 with their AfterPay thing.
It's modular and cabling is the same so I should be able to just swap it out and run more PCI-e power as needed

  • +4

Did SE just raise the price and do a 10% off discount??? It seems most of the products are not competitive even with 10% off.

    • +1

you are correct, was aiming at msi x570s tomahawk $289 last night. now $299. mr JACK is not an uncommon practice for SE and its subsidiaries (KS computer and a few eBay accounts i.e. shallothead, shopping-express-clearance, futu online, gg.tech, etc…)

      • -1

        that is doggy!

      • +1

If you've got evidence, worth submitting to ACCC for illegal practice. Only way these companies learn sadly…

        • Those Ebay coupon sales have been doing this for years but ACCC don't seem to care.

    • Yes. 3070Ti Suprim X was $1179 before this deal, now $1259. 3070 Gaming Z Trio is also up $50.
This is more like 3-5% off after price jack

Is this a good deal 5600 CPU & Gigabyte B550M MOBO for $344.70?

    • save 90c off buying them seperate…

  • I wanna read more how these prices are going to rise any moment still and that the hold suggestions were poor.

  • Spewing that aren't selling the 5800x3D standalone, bundled with motherboard only.

  • +5

    Cheers OP.
Pulled the trigger on the 6900XT.
Should last me years at 1440p.
    Upgrading from a GTX 1080.
Don’t care at all about DLS and ray tracing.
Will also be deshrouding this card so it fits in my SFF case, so that should be interesting.

  • 6900 XT now OOS
