  • Does anyone know if its worth getting from Samsung AU or asking another retailer to pricematch Samsung (like scorptec)? Just wondering incase there is a dead pixel (or any one of the numerous QC issues) its probably easier to return to a bricks and mortar store than dealing with Samsung's Online Store.

Scorptec also does dead pixel checks for $29

    • Not sure if Scorptec will match the portal price. I will say though that having to unassemble and rebox this monitor would be a nightmare.

    • Very unlikely Scorptec will match an education price.

If it helps Scorptec are very good for customer service if it gets broken etc

  • SEXXY? Is it male or female?

    • Depends on how it feels on the day

      SEXXY

      SEX XY

      XY = Male

Just an FYI - Samsung are having an issue with their online store statuses not updating. EG; it’ll say “processing”, but the item has been delivered. Spoke with them yesterday about it

    • Thanks for the heads up. Pre-ordered the A73 last week and it's stuck on Preparing Dispatch… live chat and call centre support is next to useless, advising call backs…
Have you had any issues with delayed orders?

      • yeah, there's massive delays. Took them months to send me a pair of buds that i ordered.
I was able to get through to their call centre yesterday (went through to option 4 for "online store enquiries") relatively quickly

    • So did you get an sms from courier company or how exactly did you got to know the status issue?

And how long do they usually take for delivery in metro areas ?

  • I think this is the right model review hy hardware unboxed.

There was a problem with the neo flagship, that I'm not sure if it wasn't in this one

There was also an issue with the g7, that I'm not sure if he mentions if it's in this model as well

If you don't want to click links, just google hardware unboxed Samsung and look for multiple videos

    Samsung VA = crazy flickering
    Good luck

  • A $1,800 monitor is exactly what you'd expect a student to spend their money on.

I bought a $1300 top of the line 30" Dell monitor when I was a poor student. Of course, Dell offered a no-questions-asked moneyback guarantee if returned within two weeks, and while I never intended to keep it, I enjoyed that glorious display for every minute of those two weeks. I was lucky to have $1300 in my account, must have done a few 19 hour all-night shifts at the exhibition centre that month…

If you're going to spend this much already, you're better going for the Neo, it's well worth the $500 upgrade

    No OLED, rather be ded

I remember the days when a 49" monitor was called a TV

Price is getting better for Neo but I can't find enough information to drop that much on a sim cockpit display.

Not when 3 x 120Hz OLED is known to be so good albeit for a lot more.

This display does wrap around your head in a cockpit though.

This and the neo are nothing but problems.
I personally owned a Neo and ended up getting a refund due to never ending problems. Just check whirlpool.

    • Where did you buy it from?

Im aware of QC issues, if mine is really bad i want to return it too.

      • It was purchased directly through samsung

  • for productivity would the s9 version would be better than this?
