  • whats wrong with this game? its already dicounted before its released.

    • Maybe we’re not in lockdown anymore

    • +6

All games have slight savings before release.

  • +1

3 dollars less than amazon yeah I think I will pass on a 3 dollar saving lol.

    • +26

      Not a true ozbargainer then?

      • +3

No, I believe he factored in travel or postage costs. Petrol $2ltr. Parking. Time.

It appears, he is the ultimate ozbargain warrior.

        • +4

          Free delivery from Gamesmen eBay…

      • No, he just has the standard OzBargain extreme levels of social anxiety - petrified to leave the house and speak to other humans irl.

    • +2

Yeah I went to cancel my Amazon order then realised it’s $2.50 difference… and Amazon will probably ship faster.

      • +2

Same, I had no idea until I realised that Amazon’s reliable and FAST shipping is such a sweetener to almost everything I ordered….and I haven’t even started talking about how easy it is to return stuff…

Gotta give it to Jeff….feel bad for the small business though….there is absolutely not way they can win at this front…

      • Hope Amazon price matches because there was a pre-order price guarantee

        • +1

It's an eBay code price match, doubtful

  • +5

FWIW it's $56 on the eshop but you miss out on the leg strap.

Good for those with the 10% gift cards leftover and also if you have ring fit which already had a leg strap.

This sort of game feels more like a digital title to boot up without having to change carts imo.

    • +3

Seems to be the same leg strap from the ring fit adventure, so digital version still has its merit.

      • The physical edition of Nintendo Switch Sports comes packed with a leg strap, the same one included with Ring Fit Adventure

        • Nintendo Switch Sports the physical edition comes with a leg strap, I believe it's the same as the Ring fit adventure one.

    • Yep, any game I want to jump in and out of with mates is digital now. It actually being cheaper for once, and not having to wait for delivery are just bonuses to not having to change cartridges.

    • +1

Leg strap? You can always wear long socks, skins, stockings or a compression tube and throw your joycon underneath.

      • +1

Duct tape it to your leg and you are done

  • +8

Nothing beats the OG Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. I remember I was like 11 or 12 when my dad reluctantly bought Wii Sports Resort for like $90 with the motion plus controller.

If this game is good I'm definitely getting a Switch.

    • Yes heaps of fun that was.
Making me question my resolve not to get a console 5 years after launch for the same price it was launched for 😡
      /rant

      • -2

I'll eventually get one when there's solid homebrew or CFW for it, so you can obtain games through… alternative methods. Lol.

    • +1

I wish they simply ported across wii games to the switch. Surely can't be that hard and they can make a buck off it.

      • There's Go Vacation which is a port from the Wii U.
But the highly family-oriented game options from Nintendo are missing that nostalgia. Perhaps they can fix that with more free DLC for Switch Sports.

    • Yeah wii sports resort is the only game I can remember buying on day 1 - lots of fun

  • +1

Leg Strap accessory looks identical to the Ring Fit Adventure one. Plenty of knock offs available on aliexpress.

    • Just be careful looking up "straps" on Aliexpress……

  • -4

Damn I bought Mario golf recently due to enjoying Tiger Woods golf back in Wii days but found it couldn't offer a close experience. Be interesting to see what this golf "DLC" will be like.

    • +3

Your first mistake may have been expecting a golf game involving Mario to offer anything close to being real

  • When I click 'Go to Deal', it still says $66.95. Am I doing something wrong?

    • +2

You have to add the code at the checkout.

  • Ah that would be it. Thanks!

  • Would Ring Fit Adventure be a pointless purchase if you have this?

    • +1

not at all. They are completely different games.

    • +1

Nah but depends what you want out of them.

Ring Fit is a single player, personal fitness RPG. You do exercises in front of the TV to do damage to enemies.

Switch Sports is a family/party sports game - a successor to the Wii Sports series

  • -2

Seems like a game I'll get through tinfoil 😉

  • Desperation mode increasing!!!

  • i hope this game is like the OG but way better ill actually play my switch

  • +1

    Game seems barebones.

There's only 6 sports. Golf will be added in a few months.

There's no baseball, boxing or basketball.

The game used to be free with the console… Now they want $60 for a half assed game?

    • Yes. Nintendo is literally laughing at anyone who spends money on this POS.

      • They'll laugh harder when they bring additional sports as DLC or as part of their online expansion subscription.

I refuse to buy this but the gf is going to pick it up because of nostalgia. Sigh.

        • +1

Guess you can laugh at yourself in the mirror then.

        • Laugh at her.

    • Not even close to Wii Sports Resort

  • This looks light content-wise, expecting this will easily be sub $50 post-release so going to hold out for now.

  • Girlfriend owns a switch and thinking of this as a b'day gift. I'm not a gaming guy so excuse my ignorance, so is this deal just for the game? Do I need to buy the controllers separately to play these games?

    • If she has the switch, she will have controllers anyway. They can be used with this game.

  • Do you need a second leg strap for multiplayer?

  • Isnt it cheaper just using EB games deal ? trade in $9 battlefields
