  • Was 118 recently for the black rgb
What software do y'all use for rgb control? I use signal rgb

No deal, can be had for $118 normally on special every month.

    • OP Username checks out!

    • This is close to as low as they get. And maybe never again as they now discontinued.

      • I brought 3 sets on the 9th of this month at $118 Black.
Lowest this month according to Honey was $116 on April 5th, I see this Ram at $118 a fair bit.
Red was 119 to 117.71 19th to the 26th this month looking at honey.

        • Hell I even saved a bit more and got it used like new from Amazon for $112

  • I want black lolz

I have the non-RGB of these, when they dropped to $76 in 2020. Recently found out that the RGB version and MAX versions of these Micron E-Die chips actually have temperature readings built-in. So with HWiNFO64 you get to see the temperature of each stick. Useful for finding overclocking stability.

PS: I have been running 4 X 8Gb non-RGB version of these at 1.525v for months with super tight timings at 3800Mhz, in a good airflow case. Here are my current best results:

  • Would anyone recommend getting 2 of these to create 32gb? I've read that it's not good to do it and better to get a single kit made for it but anyone found any issues in reality?

    • Better to buy a 2 x 16GB kit as they'll be dual ranked

      • Why does that matter?

4 sticks most of the time is faster than just 2. Kills your upgrade ability though

      • But if there rated 3600mhz and ones uses XMP setting shouldn't they just work even if one uses 4 sticks or when you say over clocking your saying above 3600mhz clock speeds? Umm yummy I know 64gb is a waste but I want 4x RGB 16gb sticks, 3600mhz would be sweet too working 💪

      • No it's not?

Unless you have a quad channel system, which the vast majority of people looking for this capacity don't.

        • So your saying most motherboards are dual channel but I'm guessing dual channel on each pair only? but not synchronised between the pair what quad channel is all about on motherboards,.. but XMP should still work in dual channel wouldn't it? in each pair at least standard XMP basic settings? I'm no expert why asking 👍😁

          • @Italkdigital: XMP had nothing to do with quad or dual channel, it should work either way.

Dual channel works either with two sticks, or two pairs of sticks. Either way you've got a maximum of 2 channels - if you have dual channel then two DIMMs will act as one channel. The speed should be the same (roughly) between 2 and 4 sticks on dual channel systems. On quad channel systems, bandwidth would be significantly increased.

Best ram ever. What the point of buying red when it's rgb.

    • +4

What's the point in buying RGB?

      • What's the point of R in RGB when it's RED lolz no more RED jokes please, edit: dare I say mine wasn't funny

    • Using 4x reds in my system, is hardly noticeable through the tempered glass window of my black 7000D

      • Fair enough. I guess if you get a really good deal. I was lucky to get a really good deal on 4x8gb 3600 black rgb of these sticks.
The only complaint is blue is a little dull but that's just nit picking. Pitty these have been discontinued because I would have definitely bought DDR5 version for my next rig in 1.5 to 2 years time.

Thanks for that,.. anyway red against black motherboard might be a nice touch too,. so price price price is better 😉

Always wanted 64gb in my system yeah I know overkill but I know I'll eventually get them so another big expensive item in my pc rig to devalue greatly in time and are I barely use my PC, got to have a hobby lolz

Black $10 more, they seem identical to these red ones

    Crucial Ballistix Gaming Memory, 2x8GB (16GB Kit) DDR4 3600MT/s CL16 Unbuffered DIMM 288pin Black RGB, (PC4-19200), DDR4, BL2K8G36C16U4BL https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083VN642Z/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_C…

I'd prefer Black though I wonder if one would notice the red ones, being red since there side by side and the RGB would be illuminating making harder to see color of sides anyway of ram sticks, maybe would put a nice contrast to black motherboard anyway

The 32gb red ones (2x16gb) are not a bad price either actually cheaper per gb at $253 a set
