Previous deal was $219 after discount, so this is $10 more

My apologies, went based on the title.

Doesn't appear to be targeted this time round.

  • Can't get the code to work on the galaxy watch4 classic large?

    • I tested on both the Classic Large Black and Silver and can confirm that the code works.

Did you select Amazon AU as the seller?

      • Doh !
Did that and it worked - then realised the code discount brings it down to the price already available elsewhere.

        • Which is why I added the disclaimer:

          I wouldn't consider them cheap.

          • +2

@RichardL: Yep, all good (was my mistake)… Thought you meant it wasn't a cheap product in general (rather than the deal itself not being cheap)

  • Can i recieve and make call and messages with this watch? I have a samsung galaxy s21 phone

    • +1

      Yes for LTE model.
Yes for bluetooth model - but only if it's actively paired to your phone

      • so this deal is for bluetooth model, correct? How much is the LTE watch?

        • +2

          too much. lol

  • Sure it's not targeted? Code doesn't seem to work for me

    • I can see the $50 off even with incognito.

Are you selecting Amazon AU as the seller?

      • Ah! it autos to some other seller.. weird!

  • How's a small Lok on a man's wrist? Comically small or ok?

    • 40mm isn't exactly "small" so yeh it looks ok IMO

    • +5

      Depends on your wrist girth…

    • I got the 44mm and I would argue it looks too big for me. Would have preferred the 40mm (which my partner has). The 44mm does have better battery life though. Lasts me close to 2 days with 1-2 hours of workout tracking.

I would expect more than 2 days of battery life to be brutally honest. Every person I know owns a Smartwatch, but I haven't bought one for this reason. It's such a hassle to have to charge it every few days. I own a Mi Band and love how it's able to go more than 2 weeks without a charge, even while being constantly connected to my phone. I just wish it was able to do more hahah

        • I'm in the same boat as you brother. Waiting for the day when these fantastic watches have minimum 3-5 days battery life. They look so good and I appreciate some of their convenience features, I almost bought one a few months ago but didn't pull the trigger.

My Fitbit charge 3 just broke so I've ordered a Mi Band 6 from the recent Hekka sale for $35. 7 day battery life minimum is where it's at!

          • @Jayblesz: Absolutely! I want this to be a companion, not another device I need to charge. I already have to charge my phone, laptop, portable speaker, earphones, headphones and wireless mouse. I don't want another device to take care off. Plus, the charging is only half the issue. I've never really been a person to wear things on their wrist often. I find it impossible to sleep with something on, which is why I've stopped using my Mi Band as well. As functional as a Galaxy Watch is, I won't be buying one any time soon :(

            • +1

@Zackeroo: You don’t want another device to charge, but you want a smart watch. You either do or you don’t mate. I get 3 days from my old watch active 2. Why not look at Garmin or fossil hybrid then?

              • @onlinepred: As I said, having another device to charge is only half of it. I love the functionality of a smart watch, but I'm just not the type of person to have wearables on my wrist.

If I bought this watch, I would not only find it uncomfortable to keep on my wrist, but I'd have to charge this product every 2-3 days, even tho I'm not enjoying having this on my wrist.

                • +1

@Zackeroo: I didn’t even wear watches before I got a fitness band. I found I rarely wore it, but then got a smart watch, and now I rarely ever take it off. I just charge it while I’m in the shower each day and that’s it. I feel naked without it haha. Getting messages and being able to reply, or even getting messages when you can’t access your phone immediately like whole driving etc and seeing if a message is from someone important etc, I tried not wearing it but disliked it so much. I’m hooked!! It really is such an incredible companion to your life and phone. Sure it would be great if the battery lasted weeks, but if you want a watch to be so smooth and have such huge functionality then it’s a no brainer. I run without my phone, download Spotify playlists to my watch and use my BT buds hooked up to the watch, then it also tracks the run extremely well. Couldn’t be happier really.

                  • @onlinepred: Hmm that's fair. I'll definitely reconsider in the future if a better deal pops up. I honestly wouldn't mind a last-gen Galaxy watch if I can get it at a better price

                    • @Zackeroo: Yea I got my wife the galaxy watch 4 and it looks and feels great, but I still love my active 2, does everything I need and was cheap as.

                      • @onlinepred: Yeaa I was looking into the Active 2 a while back. Looks like the new Galaxy Watch has copied that design, might make me want to consider that instead of an older Galaxy Watch.

                        • @Zackeroo: Yep 100%, only thing that kept me with the old is that they don't use the Google Wear OS, which seems to make battery much worse, and still has a few glitches here and there on my partners watch 4. The things I don't like about the active 2 is the screen which can be scratched kinda easy, and round screen.

                          • @onlinepred: The new one has a round screen too right? I also didn't like the active 2 for how delicate it looked.

                            • @Zackeroo: Anything cheap won’t have sapphire glass or stainless steel frame hey. That’s why I only buy them cheap hehe. Yea new one has round screen too. I just don’t like reading and replying to texts on a round screen. It makes it frustrating. I borrowed an Apple Watch series 6 for a week and man it’s so freaking good. Pictures in messages and text come through so well and easy to read.

                              • @onlinepred: Ah that's fair. I hadn't ever thought of round VS square watch screens.

        • Lol it's called Garmin. But it's a utility-duty/fitness centric watch, not a gizmo that puts another unnecessary display on your wrist.

  • Wasn't this $219 a couple of weeks ago?

    • It was but because the code VIP50 was targeted so some ppl managed to get it at $219 on top of the already discounted price

  • +1

How is the battery life on these?

    • My wifes one doesnt last a full day, might be faulty?

      • Mine didn't last a full day out of the box but after updating it lasts almost 2 days. Charging is quick, I charge it just before going to bed so I can still use it to track my sleep.

        • That seems like a downgrade from their old watches, my Galaxy Watch lasts for 3 or so days

    • depends how much you use. if just watching time, yeah 2-3 days.
press stuff, then 1 full day
note that google keep doesn't work on these, some bug affecting half the users, never fixed.

  • What's the difference between th3 classic and normal?

    • As far as I can tell the classic has a functional metal bezel whereas normal has a digital bezel.

  • I wonder how long Amazon backorders usually take to ship….. Are they generally good with sourcing stock? Or could it take weeks/months.

  • I have this watch with a non Samsung watch. Not sure why my android pixel 6 phone, the companion Samsung wear app sometimes drain insane amounts of battery. Up to 10% sometimes in half a day.

  • +1

Purchased ticwatch pro 3 lte last week

    3 day battery
    Decent sensors
Works well with Australian networks as standalone number when Bluetooth is disconnected.
Ticked all my boxes. Just waiting for Android 3.0

    • I'd been trying to work out which watch to get for months for my Pixel 6P.
Ordered the Pro 3 Ultra yesterday. Looks like a winner.

      • Only downside is proprietary charger 😔

        • All my watches have had that..no biggie.

    • Ye, I'm finding my pro 3 ultra great. Battery is good, fast and nice dual screen. Also found a charger stand from ebay, so even better. I did have a galaxy watch 4 before this, wasn't happy with it

  • Does this require prime for code to work still?

Edit: no you don't, code doesn't work for the silver Watch 4 40mm

  • This or wait for the next pixel watch?

    • +1

which essentially boils down to buying from an amateur or an apprentice…

      • Who's the amateur and who's the apprentice?

        • well the point is they are all $#!^… might as well get the cheapest one

  • VIP50 doesn't seem to working even though it's from AmazonAU?

    • Yes, doesnt seem to work anymore

  • +1

I am calling folks at Oxford dictionary because word "Back Order" now seems to mean "delivery by next business day"/// :D

    • Which colour? mines still pending shipment date

      • black

        • Ah lucky you, mine says "We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date".

  • Anyone still waiting for a shipping date?

    • Same

      • I have contacted Amazon on numerous occasions and still the same answer, its oos and don't know the shipping date.

  • @RichardL why wouldn't you call classic models a bargain? I can't find cheaper elsewhere?

  • Still no shipping date…. will we ever get it?

  • To those who haven't got it yet, I sooked to Amazon support and was able to order from another seller and they refunded the difference with the deal. Downside is, the cheapest dealer's watch they wanted me to get is the international version.

    • Whats the difference between local and international version? Off the top of my head I can only think of Samsung Pay wont be supported.

      • Reading up on it, that's it I think. Apparently you can reset the region, but I haven't bothered since it's not a feature I need.

        • Yeh google pay works just the same. Interesting might hit up support to see if they can do the same since this is taking way too long to get an ETA.

  • Seems to be showing in stock sold and fulfilled by Amazon now… ETA 02-14 JUN.

  • Mine has finally received a shipping date, should arrive for me tomorrow.
